I forgot one thing that I added after taking off the rear muffler. Had bad drone one the highway, so I bought and exhaust damper made for a Ford F-150. Fixed it completely.

There was a post recently with the K&N intake sound. Based on nearly everyone hating the high pitch squeal it results in, I would suggest you stay away from that intake.

I would recommend the afe drop in dry filter. I spent a lot of time looking at intakes with my b8 and ultimately chose to go in this direction. Just a suggestion

Did they fix the problem with the afe pro dry not sealing properly and was sucking in dust at the sides?
I used the afe for some time and when I took it out one day to check it I could see a lot if fine dust at the clean side of the air box.

I used some weather stripping to make sure mine was sealed well. Shouldn't have had to, but, it works.

I coincidentally removed mine today for the first time in about 3 months and there was no dust to be found

Did you mod it to seal properly.
I took some picture of mine and you could clearly see the dust layer after I scratched my finger over it.

No i didnt. I saw a review on here (mightve been yours, cant remember) where a rubber seal was added to the box around the filter. I checked the seal when i installed mine and it looked fine so i didnt add anything. But i knew is be taking it out when i got my car serviced so id be able to check. And it was perfectly clean.

Anyone have a sound clip of Neuspeed exhaust? Build quality looks really good and includes non-resonated downpipe. With Canadian dollar, I can get Magnaflow touring for equivalent of $850 US and seen Neuspeed for $1,000 US.

Looking for a deeper tone, I know it doesn't add much in the way of power. Car is totally stock right now, but will be getting Unitronic stage 1 tune in a few months.

Don't really want to go custom or hack up the existing exhaust, would like the option to put it back to stock if possible. I'm pretty comfortable with installing the full system myself.

Thanks man. Umm tbh i dont really know what drone is? I like how it sounds. Not too noticable under normal driving and screams when you rev fast about 4k

I have deleted the front resonator from my Alloroad via resonator-less aftermarket Downpipe. There is no additional drone for me, just a little more rasp under throttle.

I have two vids in my Allroadcorbin thread. I have a spulen test pipe, oem dp, and the magnaflow. FYI the magnaflow is not a cat-back. It does not replace the oem dp. But unlike the other units it has zero resonators post DP. It's a straight pipe with two mufflers. Personally I like the sound... Very very deep. Farts on full throttle up shifts. I'm probably gonna add a resonated non-oem DP soon for more rasp. Must be resonated though otherwise drone would be horrible

I've been thinking about making a proper exhaust video with real audio recording equipment. I'm about to install the 034 HFC and CTS downpipe on Monday...been rocking the Magnaflow exhaust for a couple weeks now. I believe that setup matches your wish list.

Hey guys, I'm looking for a little advice on a custom exhaust setup. I don't want to spend too much money, as the valence already will add a couple hundred.

Currently I'm running a 034 HFC into a Borla non-resonated downpipe -> stock center resonator-> stock muffler. The sound is great, really throaty especially when the valvelift kicks in above 3500 rpm, and no drone at all.

Now I'm looking to go with a quad setup for looks, but I'm really happy with the noise level and tone I have now, so I don't want to change it too much.

Basically I have 2 options in my mind, please let me know what you think:

1. Cut off the stock muffler, put a Y-pipe after the center resonator, and add 2 Magnaflow mufflers for the quad tips. I don't know what to expect be removing 1 muffler (stock) and replacing it with 2 Magnaflows. What would this do to the sound?

2. Remove the center resonator and add 2 Magnaflow mufflers at the end. Then I would just have the HFC straight pipped to 2 Magnaflow mufflers; too loud IMO. I am afraid to remove the center resonator for noise/drone reasons.

I am looking to not spend too much money (if someone will suggest replacing the center resonator with an aftermarket piece + 2 Magnaflow mufflers, that will be like $600 just in parts).
