Leaking power steering fluid & Lucas Stop Leak question

My 2003 A4 1.8T is leaking PS fluid very fast and I am continually filling up the reservoir. Does anyone know what the likely problem is and where exactly in the engine bay I should be looking to stop this? I have heard of mixing the PS mineral fluid with some Lucas Stop Leak fluid to possibly stop the leak or whatever is wrong. Is this recommended and if so what kind of mixture is recommended? Thanks.

I would not advise stop leak...may stop more than just the leak itself...

I recently had a P/S leak and I used a dye (which is harmless and okay to use) to discover that the reservoir can was cracked at the sidewall attachment AND my HP hose from pump to rack had a leak as well. I did a write-up on replacement. Look through it and maybe it can help you locate a leak.

    Hope this helps!

The steering rack is probably leaking from the boots. you can look in your fender wells at the steering rack boots.

But it could also be the power steering pump or lines leaking.

I used Lucas stop leak in my a4, the steering rack had a huge leak, i used lucas a few times and it eventually stopped.
