i was wondering how accurate these are? it does boost pressure too. so would a regular boost gauge be more accurate or this obd II set up? hell of a price too.

searched around and didn't find much info at all.

Boost will not be as accurate as a real boost gauge because the ECU uses a MAP sensor to determine boost pressure, which isn't all that accurate

I would think the polling rate of ODB2 would be too slow to be of any real use anyway.

In the 4x4 world, we use that as well as this one( http://www.scangauge.com/products/scangaugeii/ ) which is preferred actually..

So a separate boost gauge and this ultra gauge. Mostly want to avoid doing an oil temp gauge and this thing has it already.

Really? I would just do the podi route if all you want is oil temp. Looks way cleaner

I want a boost gauge and oil temp. I'll do a pod boost gauge then this ultra thing for code reading and clearing. I'll probably make it only visible to the driver because it's not the prettiest thing.

Ultragauge looks pretty good, but it doesn't offer for our model car...

eBay VAGCOM cable $7 + cheapo laptop $50 = $57, or you can get an OBD reader for $50 that is hidden out of sight when not in use.

    Just saying

Cheap OBD2 reader = Torque app for your Android smartphone ($5) + Bluetooth OBD2 connector (<$20 from ebay). It can also do most of the stuff listed for the ultraguage as well.
