DIY Grill
requires: 3 cans, Lots of newspapers handy, Masking tape
One of the most common projects people use plasti dip for is the grill. Here is a short tutorial:
Pre tasks: CLEAN YOUR GRILL !!! WATER AND SOAP IS SUFFICIENT
1) If you havent already, take off the front plate holder
2) Pop open the hood. Remove the plastic cover on top of the radiator grill. should be held on by a few clips.
3) Drop a newspaper behind the grill and tape it somewhere so it doesnt fly away. Close the hood
4) Start prepping the newspapers around your grill. its ok to leave some spots exposed because you can always rip off the plastidip if you over spray. Remember: the heavier the coats, the easier it is to remove
5) Stand about 6 inches away from the grill and start spraying. Results should look something like this:

5) Keep spraying, give yourself about 10 minutes between coats. dont overspray on certains spots or else it would get heavy and blotch up.
6) When you are statisfied with the results when its dry, you can start ripping the peices you dont want plastidip. For me, i used an exacto knife and traced over the 4 rings and peeled it off. Also peeled off the S5 emblem. Should look like this:

7) when all is said and done, these are the results:

and a few months later it still looks as good as new

8) Now you can go back and spray the front plate holder :)
DIY Fog light surround
Few months after i plastidipped my grill, i also decided to do the chrome surround on the fog light grill
Requires: 1 can of plastidip, some newspapers, masking tape
1) Pull out the fog light grill ( be careful if you pull out too hard, the clips might break off )
2) Clean the grill with water and soap to get any dirt off
3) Start masking off the grill, should look like this when done:

4) Start spraying 6 inches apart. About 3-10 coats should be fine
5) should look like this when done

6) As you can see, i plastidipped some of the black parts as well. it didnt bother me. if you dont like it, use an exacto knife and trace around it and peel it off.
7) replace the grill. and RESULTS

Hope this clears up some plastidip questions you may have. If you guys have any questions at all, please feel free to ask. Also if you have any ideas on new projects, any pics you want to share, please post them on this thread!!!
