Electric Power Steering pump conversion

Hi guys I didn't really see any threads regarding electric power steering pump conversion. I'm curious of what everyone thinks. I have a small leak around my pump right now, so I'm figuring just replace it with an MR2 pump. The fabrication part probably wont be that hard besides getting the right fittings and such. It would be nice to relocate the pump and reservoir to the battery tray area too. Does anyone think it might just be better to get an electric steering rack like the rx8 and retrofit?

Electric steering sucks. I'm quite sure our hydraulic power steering is actually quite reliable. Not sure an electric system would bring any benefits and it would eradicate what little steering feel we have.
