Best system for racing games: Xbox or PS2?

Yeah I've already posted in the gaming forum, but I want the opinion of the general AZ public as well.

BTW, I'm not looking for the best system to play Tom Clancy's next war game or the newest starwars game. I'm talking racing realism here (tracks, handling simulations etc.,).

Which system has the best racing games?

    Thanks

PS2, without a doubt. they have nurburgring which many, many people have said it's so close to real, it's scary. racers can try out new lines that they couldn't do in a real race because of the danger.

also, the monaco course looks pretty damn real. I watched the F1 race there last year I think and it looked exactly like the course in GT3. crazy.
Big truck, a station wagon and a Mammoth place. Nothing too fancy.

    Forza (Xbox) has Nurburgring too.

They're both great...I prefer Forza, Scott lieks the GT4.

    You can't really loose.

I actually haven't played forza, I just can't imagine anything being more realistic than GT4. Juan Pablo Montoya tripped out hs technicians by telling them how he wanted his car set up from playing Gran Turismo

I've played both...Forza is honestly significantly more realistic in game. I hate the menus of it...And I don't really like the turning.

Forza has way better sliding that GT4...In GT4 you either don't slide, or you're going around.

In Forza, many times you can make a save with realistic controls. It's also not as twitching as GT4, which hints at unrealistic traction.

Forza however doesn't have even half of the cars that GT4 has if you are in to that kind of thing...they are both amazing games, why dont you just get both?! haha

Considering there are a lot of driving games out there for both systems and the same games offered for both consoles, I think it's fairly even. Maybe slightly a bit more toward xbox though. There are some great rally games such as Colin McRae 2005 and Rallisport Challenge 2 in which I have yet to see PS2 come out with something as good (Colin McRae 2k5 is only avail overseas for PS2). I'd say that if a game is offered on both sides, most likely the xbox version will have slightly better graphics, no 5min load times, but gameplay is usually the same.

I have both systems and both games. I prefer xbox and forza.

Someone mentioned that GT4 has twice as many games...go look at all the different cars. Half of them are useless junk. Did you win the 1886 carraige with 1hp? I did, but what the F is it for? Waste of time designing that piece of chit. Plus, why do you need 50 different skylines? or Imprezas? I'm sorry, but that game pisses me off becuase everyone says how real it is, but how the F do you chip a 1970 Chevelle? And did you hear that thing with an aftermarket exhuast, sounds like every ricer out there.

    Forza is better.
