That doesn't look too bad a stretch. I'm running 265's on a 10" wheel and it's worse than that but it depends on the tire brand and model (Dunlop Sport Maxx for me). Not the look I was going for but I had the tires from my OEM wheels so using them up before I up-size.

Thanks to MOPS@Nemesis for hooking me up and giving me great assistance and turning my first custom rim purchase experience around from a horrible experience I had with a previous mechanic out in Long Island. (RAD)
Sorry delay on pics MOPS but here they are! Will get better quality ones in the future once my set up is complete (airlift suspension coming soon... )

    Hi guys,

Sorry if this question has been asked but I looked through about 10 pages and didn't find what I was looking for.
So I currently have a set of 19x9.5 et 35 with 15f/20r spacers with 255/35/19 and lowered on H&R Sports. I need to order new tires and I was planning on getting 275/35/19. I don't think it will rub but I just wanted to confirm that it doesn't before placing an order for new tires.

this is my setup from last summer with the 255s

This last page alone talks about that quite a bit. You should be fine.

Hopefully this is the best place to ask. I'm looking to get VMR V710FF's. I want that real nice concave look on the rear. VMR is saying that I should stay with 19x8.5. I was thinking I wanted 19x9.5 in the front and 19x10.5 in the rear. I don't know if the 10.5 is too much, but I really didn't think 8.5's where I should keep it. Any thoughts by those of you who have bought wheels for a B8 S5 or anyone that has an opinion?

10.5 is a pretty common size for S5 people these days so as long as you get the right offset and tire width you should be good. Do you prefer a staggered setup vs squared?

I would prefer 10.5 rear, 9.5 front. I’m not sure of offset yet. I’m looking into it.

So this is the look I want for my S5. Wheel is a V710FF, the last 3 photos at the bottom of the page are the look I'm referring to. I'm leaning toward either 9.5 all around or 10.5 in the rear. ET 40. Anyone have thoughts on this? Maybe I'm running in the wrong direction?

Hi. I have a '10 A5. Bought some Verde VFF02 in 19X10 et36 and want to run 275/35-19. My suspension is stock. What spacer size would I need f/r to get near flush but keep from rubbing? Also, may lower with H&R OE or KW HAS in the near future. This thread seems to really like 275/30, but the Vredestein Quatrac pro I want comes only in 275/35. Thanks. First of all, nice looking wheels. Can't wait to see what they look like on the car.

Now I don't have any experience with your intended wheel/tire size combo but it seems to me that you'd be safe with 10mm spacers. I run a 10" with et25 but with 265's and there's plenty of room for the tire while looking pretty close to flush.

I have to get some decent pictures when the cars clean and I’ve re-painted my calipers, but I’m glad I finally got my summers on.

And yes, of course it’s snowing as soon as I take off my winter setup.

Thanks for sharing. I ordered similar wheels about a week ago (Judd T325) so nice with some confirmation about how it will (kind of) look. I'm going to try 10x20 ET30 on 285/30 after reading a bit from Mops. What offset are your wheels?

I read MAE on the rims and started googling a bit because I've never seen anything like that from MAE, and can't find any information about them (not looking to copy your idea, I already have 2 sets of 20's and 1 more set on the way :)). Are they MAE produced for another brand or what's the story on those? Just curious :)

No Problem when anyone wants to copy.
Did the same research like you.
What I found was that the firm used to produce exclusieve Wheels for Mercedes from 1984.

    Then they stopped.
There was a restart in 2010 and then they also produced this wheel the MAE BSW182.
But they got bankrupt again soon. They did not make a lot of this wheels.

I got my hands on a Brand new set.
If anyone is interested I think there are two sets left.
They look exactly like the ADV RS Quattro wheels. However the RS cost a lot more.

@PIERREZ101 Super interesting, thank you. Your car looks super awesome, and having (rare) wheels from the legends from MAE just makes it that much better :)

19x11 Forgestar F14 Ultradeep. I wouldn't recommend Forgestar though. Had an absolutely awful experience with them both from a wheel quality experience and a customer service experience. They look good from a distance though!

Wow, awesome. That’s what I thought. They’ve got a ton more concavity than I thought. Might give them a look instead of going for VFF 103’s.

I mean, they don't have near the concavity of the F14 ultradeeps, but probably a better move than dealing with forgestar

Finally we got some nice weather and a reason to take the car out of the garage... Now with Judd T325 wheels in 10x20" ET30 with falken 285/30 tyres.

Wow wheels look very nice, they look very big.
Are the 285 not to wide for the front??
I changed my 11 inch at the front with 295/25/21 for a set of 9 inch with 245/30/21.
The 295 did not turn very nice and was very nervous.

I've only driven the car for about 6-7 hours in total with the 285's, but I haven't noticed any rubbing, and judging by just looking at them I don't think there'll be an issue. The other wheels I have are 275/30 Falken's streched on 10.5x20 ET27 wheels, and those look way more likely to rub - but I drove with them all last summer and never noticed any rubbing. I'll try and get some pictures that shows the fitment better next time I take it out.

(....the H&R coilovers are also pretty stiff so the wheels doesn't move that much, and it's also not lowered all that much)

Shows the fitment a bit better.. enough room there that I wouldn't be too worried if I wanted to lower it a bit more.
