Efficiency Program & Red DIS

Has anyone tried using the Efficiency DIS screen on a monochrome (red) DIS?

If so, does the large gear display screen work? (Picture would be great).
I do not have the trip computer stalks, but if the efficiency program w/ large gear display works, I will definitely retrofit them. (I drive exclusively in M)

I have enabled efficiency program on my red DIS and I don't know what large gear screen youre talking about. It has three different screens, one is for instantaneous fuel consumption of electronics (A/C, foglights, seat heaters etc), one tells you how much you have traveled, how long you have traveled for and km until depletion and the last screen tells you what your average fuel consumption is, instantaneous fuel consumption, and km until depletion.
everything else below that stays the same like, gear, odo, ext temp, trip

Can you report which MY you´re driving? In MY 2008 and 2009 you need a software update of your module 17 (instruments) in order to enable the program, otherwise channel 77 is not available

Does the gear display only work with manual transmissions? The S4 thread made it sound like it worked for auto as well...

Sorry Nputer...I meant Dracolnyte.
I´ve heard in the Spanish forum about some people who could enable the efficiency program after updating their instrument cluster software, to SW253 which is the one that to do this.Then with vag-com > [17 - Instruments] [Adaptation - 10] Channel 77, from 0 to 255.
But they had color dis, no news about this being possible on monocrome display.Nevertheless they couldn´t see one of the screens (the one you were referring to about the gear shift) because they don´t have the start-stop system in the MY 2008-2009.This is what they got:

I have a 2010, and yes I did that adaptation from 0 -> 255 but not sure if mine was the updated software. My friend with an 09 manual was able to do it in his red monochrome display, but it wasn't large, it just tells you when and what to shift on that tiny corner

I enabled it in the 2010 A4. It has a large gear display and tells you when to shift still.

Hi I'm going to try and bring this back from the dead, but i enabled the efficiency program and lap timer via vag com but i can't seem to get too the display? i tried all the buttons i could think of to sort through the displays but can't seem to get to the efficiency or lap timer screen? so my question is, how are you switching through the screen in the video? what button do i press? any help is appreciated!

btw i have a 2011 audi a4 b8 premium, non-nav

If You Use Carista Apk with a OBD2 Blutooth Dongle you can Enable Laptimer, Shift Display M1 S1 D1 Etc Etc

Hello in my car from 2008 i manage to have efficiency program after i replace the cluster with a new one from 2013 with DIS Color.
