    How to test Wideband Sensor

    Hi all.

    Title says it all.
    Basicly what's going on is that my wide band died slowly down to 7.4 and stays there now.
    Change the sensor for a new one, did the new calibration procedure like the 10 seconds key on while it's unplug then 10 seconds off. Plug every thing and tried sensor calibration, but won't make it. It says heater open. Same with the old sensor. I've checked LC-1 module connections and grounds. I'm starting to think that my LC-1 module is dead.

    Now before jumping to this conclusion, I need to test both sensors heaters.
    Is there a way to check heater resistance on those 6 pin 5 wire wideband sensors like we can do on the OEM O2 by checking resistance between pin 1 and 2?

    I've search but kind of hard to find.

    Of course... sensor resistance would be great to have too.

    Ok I got something. The only thing That I need now is which pins to use to check this resistance.

    Nominal heater cold resistance at 20°C
    ambient temperature for new sensor,
    including cable and connector: 3.2 Ω
    Minimum heater cold resistance at -40°C: 2.1 Ω

    Here are the 5 wires assigment that I've found. From the sensor side connector.
    Pin6 (Red wire) = (I) pump
    Pin4 (White wire) = Heater-
    Pin1 (Black wire) = Voltage supply
    Pin3 (Gray wire) = Heater +
    Pin5 (Yellow wire)= Pump circuit ( that adds or remove oxygen from the O2 ) correct things...
    Pin2 is dead end at the other side of the connector. (used to loop the calibration resistor with pump)

    Remember. Never put a multimeter probe at other pins then heaters. Heater check is the purpose of this thread.
