Hood, bumper, grille, trunk lid, possibly will need coding. Too expensive IMHO.

Are you talking about the newest facelift? What is MY2012 elsewhere and 2013 in North America? I think I heard someone say somewhere you would need to switch out the bumper too...dont know if that was just for the front though...

i know DavidB8 and Alex were able to get the facelift tail lights on the Avant, but on the sedan you will need a new trunk lid because the shape is slightly different.

as for the front, i dont even know if that's possible or even worth it. you'd need a whole new front end basically since the headlight shapes are totally different, new hood, new front grille, new front bumper, etc and im sure all that is not just a straight swap onto the pre-facelift, this would just be way too expensive and difficult to do i'd think. and IMO i like the pre facelift headlights better than the facelift ones, not even worth it IMO to go through all that for those lights.

Yes, it's too expensive when i need to change the whole front , and doesn't worth it , but for rear , i need to change the tailgate and the lights.

Dude, like the others have stated. Those headlights will not fit because they are different shape. Look at those them look at your headlights, does it look like it will fit perfectly to you?

I think it was the title that is misleading. The question (noted by folks within) is about the headlights, where the title is about the tail lights.

Answering on title - Yes, you can upgrade the tail lights (rear end of the car) to the MY 2012.5+, but you need a new trunk lid if you have a sedan. Then you also need some coding, etc. help from DavidB8 & Alex (as mentioned above).

Answering on headlights (picture/link) - No, you cannot upgrade to the MY 2012.5+ headlights. Everything about the headlights and the whole front is different. They won't fit, and I'm guessing that's even if you changed the bumper, grille and hood, based on the look of the housing itself.

    Hopefully that helps.

Hi all looking at your posts for the facelift issue
I have changed my 2009 a4 sline to the new front and rear end 2012>
    I changed the
Bonnet wings headlamps brackets and drl power module ballasts and bulbs were the same as 2009
Front bumper grill fog lamps and bezels
Rear bumper plus valance boot lid and all tail lamps
Looks great but having a bit of bother with the coding for front lights
The plug was the same for the new as old lamps but I have no front side lights ie drl
And keep getting bulb failure warning on dash :-(
I have vag computer and Evan tried changing the 09 central control module
With no luck any one on here with a idea give me a shout

    Cheers Steve

hi Steve, I'm curious about the rear, what do you mean by 'valance boot lid'?

about the rear bumper, were you able to use the existing mounting/screw holes to mount/fix the face-lift bumper?

I think Steve meant to write it like this: Rear bumper plus valance, boot lid, and all tail lamps. So he replaced the rear valance and the trunk, and the rear tails.

Hey Steve: I bought the new facelift LED Euro tails with wiring harness. Now I need to buy a new trunk (boot lid) and wonder about fitment. Does it fit properly? I tested the rear quarter tail lights and they fit but not as nice as the stock tails. There was a bit of a gap in the new tails compared to the stock tails at the bottom of the light (between the light and bumper).
Lastly, what did you do about the interior lining, hinges, hardware, carpet for the new truck (lid)? Any pictures? Please post!!

    Thanks!
