    Hi

I have an '08 TT 3.2 with 260Hp...it feels a little underpower when compared to (z4 or 360z)....have any of you installed a supercharger on it?

what brands should i be looking at and what problems have you run into?

    there is no 360Z :D
If you don't need both hands on the wheel, then you're NOT driving.

lol, he was just trying to say either 350z track edition or 370z automatic.

unfortunately the 3.2 tt is not a popular car to modify because of its heavy and large engine. although its a VR6 3.2, intake exhaust chip about all thats there. ABT sportsline has created a supercharger tt but i doubt its available.

sorry to say it but idk why people buy the 3.2 TT when there is a TTS out there that is superb. Its lighter, better powered, and more effecient. chip on those cars and your well into 300hp. even normal 2.0T have better potential. the only price to pay is small turbo lag.

Price was a big factor in my choise...the 4 cylinder TTS was not introduced until 09...when searching for my car there was quite a big price difference between the two.

Anyways...thanks for the response, i will look into the ABT sportsline supercharger and see if i can find anything...doubt it will be possible considering the engine takes all the room under the hood

Hang on, let me see if I have got this right....
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...54-184kW_EA390

This link shows the 3.2 VR6 EA390 and variants thereof was used in the VW mk4 and mk5 R32 as well as the A3 and the TT until 2010, according to Wikipedia. All are the transversely mounted application.

HPA Motorsports seem to cater to mainly the R32 crowd: http://www.hpamotorsport.com/turbos.htm But their banner pics includes a TT. It's expensive stuff, but it seems the VR6 3.2 has a choice of turbo packages from them - maybe they could help you out. The orange TT on this page seems to have gotten the HPA treatment: http://www.hpamotorsport.com/hpa_vehicles.htm

Sorry..... Have to intervene ...I have owned both the 350z and the 3.2 TTR and have to say without a doubt that the Audi wins hands down over the Z..in quickness and overall agility fit and finish.............NO comparison IMO. Although both are governed..I have had both at their limits and the TT felt as if it was just getting going at 140......Maybe you'r car needs a tuning or new plugs?

bangoman thanks for the website. HPA looks to offer what i am looking for. Just waiting to see the pricing.

I have not had the opportunity to put my TT through its paces quite yet other than on a straight line. In about a week i will be taking in to a track day. Rico thanks for your imput...i considered a 350z before getting the TT, the all wheel drive was a must for me...amusingly enough i purchaced the car at Audi of Warwick in RI...noticed your plates were from there.

The car so far it's great...i was simply looking at what can be done to it.

enrisaro....That is where I take my car to be serviced. They are a Great dealership...have never had any issues with them. The snow in NE is why I purchased the TT also. Good luck with the car and post up pics !!

No problem. It's going to be expensive from HPA. But you might be well served in cruising over to VWvortex.com to see what the VW VR6 owners are up to as well. Like the Audi I5 20V turbocharged engines, the VR6's put out a very unique sound. Love it.

Isnt the 3.0TFSI motor sort of based on your 3.2? Have you looked into bolting one of the TVS chargers we have on our cars into a TT?

got a few thing back from the HPA guys...nothing too exciting so far...Few thing to improve the stability of the car (not too crazy about them...cars is quite stable as is)...in terms of suspension i will lose the magnetic ride if i upgrade it for a sportier set.
The interesting bits are the DSG, cold air intake and AWD controler.
    1. Gen.2 Haldex AWD Controller
    http://www.hpamotorsport.com/haldex.htm

-this mod completely transforms the car from a 2WD biased Quattro into an AWD monster

    2. Core Interlock Dog Bone Mount
    http://www.hpamotorsport.com/mounts.htm

-tightens up the chassis and improves the launch of the TT significantly

    3. Suspension
    http://www.hpamotorsport.com/shs1.htm

-HPA’s custom suspension designed and specifically set up for the TT

    4. Cold Air Intake
    http://www.hpamotorsport.com/cai.htm

-a simple modification with modest power gains, that adds an impressive “growl” to the car

Is your car a manual or DSG gearbox?

If it is a manual (6 speed):

    If it is a DSG:

i dont see why the suspension needs to change, mounts yes, no need for a haldex controller either but its a very nice thing to have

i just read about there custom fit vehicles. starting at 150k... i dont think its even possible to put a 100k into a audi tt

I have an 04 R32, and know many people who have super or turbo charged their Rs, making reliable 4-500hp. Def check out the VW sites. I'm not sure why there are so few boosted 3.2 TTs and so many boosted R32s. I did hear that the tighter engine compartment of the TT can make it more difficult, otherwise I don't know what the difference would be. VF Engineering is also big with the R32 crowd and less expensive than HPA, though HPA is one of the best for quality. I'm curious also, as I'm considering buying a newer TT 3.2 and boosting it.

I believe the 3.0 and 3.2 are completely different. The 3.2 is a narrow angle 15deg V. I think the 3.0 is the typical 60deg.
