    B7 headlight with LED's

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Hey everyone i recently came into the audi world and im trying to learn as much as possible so please forgive me for my ignorance. I recently bought a 08 S4 and was curious if there were any good headlights out there with LED's in them like the newer Audi's have. Its not a must but it is something i like. I was surprised when i bought it that it didnt because i almost bought an 07 S6 and even it had them. I read somewhere about dectanes, and someone named phil and someone named fly but i can never seem to figure out who or even see a picture with the work done. A price would be nice as well. Everytime im driving and my sister is driving i always know when she is behind from her LED's (2012 A5). Anyways if someone could divulge some info to me please i would greatly appreciate it. Ill post pics of my car soon. Rained today and i need to get it detailed after my 1100 mile drive back from buying it.

Pass on dectanes and and anything else from eBay for that matter. Far and away the best LED headlights available for the B7 are made by the member on here "fly300kts" a.k.a Phil. Send him a PM and he can sort you out with prices, shipping, etc...

Here they are, they look about 10x brighter in real life however:

Before you ask anymore questions on the subject, if you search the forum (especially the B7 A4 forum), there is TONS of information on the matter which could be very useful to you.

    Welcome to Audizine.
    Whereabouts in Queens are you?

What A4A4A4 said is pretty much spot-on. Considering you have an 08 S4, you have bixenons already so best way to go is get Phil's LEDs. Besides those A5/S5 styled dectanes wouldn't even work since they are made for halogen equipped cars (different harness)

So basically Phils LED's just go right inside the light. How are they turned on? I know A4(x3) told me to search the a4 forum but i tried the search engine and i must suck at it. bout to google and then go to bed.

I'm in Valley Stream. Not too far out.

Anyway, yes they go inside the headlight. So you have to take the lense off, but it's not as scary as it sounds. I've done it. I also think they can either be wired to turn on with the city lights or as a separate switch. Best thing to do would be get in touch with Phil and ask him on the integration.

ive honestly never been a fan buying from ebay. Even when i had my f-body i would try not to buy from there. Only thing i ever bought were some CCW rims for my old camaro from there. Anyways ill probably just stick with my lights now as it is. Maybe consider it down the road if i want some change.

Clear corner. Gives it a nice clean look.

Also this looks pretty cool. I dont have fog lights like most of you seem to. I have a carbon fiber lip in the front (and little wing and on the inside) and the owner said my body style is a little different. dont know how true it is but these S6 style lights would look good in the grille.

All you need is a heatgun. Open up your headlights, take out the orange covers, and you are done ;)

If you want, you CAN get the clear covers and put them in.

I'm guessing you have the DTM package then?
You can implement fog lights into the bumper but the above could look on the sides, not in middle grille itself.
post some pics of the car and it will be easier to suggest.

I wouldn't purchase anything on ebay regarding headlights but these seem pretty decent for an updated LED in the fog light section. Install would be a snap too. http://www.ebay.com/itm/120779277680...84.m1423.l2649

The LED bars look way too short. It just screams "aftermarket."

True. But let's face it. Any LED solution for the B7 is "aftermarket".

Agree about Fly's leds and the S6 ones, the Ebay ones are prone to being much less bright and don't flow with the car IMO. I've had several people be surprised to hear that the LEDs aren't oem on my car

Yep, have had them for almost a year now with no problems. He's probably just out of town or something, once you make contact he's very good about explaining everything you need to know

I'm not sure which ones exactly you're talking about, but don't do it.

My recommendation as one whom has Phil's LED's for over 2 years is don't buy anyone else's. They are as close to factory in quality and finish that you are going to get. In addition he stands behind his work!!
