    personally i like having the rings chrome, but the black looks nice on that grill too. but definitely have the rings though, looks very empty without em.

    I left mine off. Looks much better in person than rendered or with anyhting other than a black car / black europlate filler... certainly not for everyone. It brings the drug-dealer-status to "almost guaranteed"

    Agree - I mean, heck, you pay enough to drive the brand, so why not be proud of the fact and keep the rings, either in chrome (my preference) or black on?

    using the same logic, I'm embarassed to drive an A4 so I de-badged the letters. Purely aesthetics we're talking. Same reason I much prefer a plain white or black tee than one with a HUGO BOSS logo on it.


    in person I just really like the way it looks. there's no emblem at the front as a focal point. instead your eyes are drawn purely to an agressive staredown via LEDs.
    again, it's definitely a personal preference. I'm only trying to explain it from a design perspective...i was never an OEM+ kinda guy (yet, I'm sure that's where I'm heading...natural enthusiast cycle here), but to clear my name: definitely to avoiding the blantant ricer shit. I see VWs and civics sans emblems but they usually just look like crap (rust, bent aftermarket bumper, chicken-wire-mesh grille), whereas this is a beaut of a vehicle...not to mention the matte black hood matches the matte of the grill perfectly!

    Can you go gloss black? That would look the best.

    The plastidip matte black look is just not as nice on that grill.

    Since your car is white, you can go either chrome or black. If it were black you should def. go chrome.

    Thanks for clarifying; never would have figured it out but for the awesome HUGO BOSS analogy.

    So, further to my prior post, aesthetically it looks better with rings, as the majority of others appear to have opined.

    i agree, i think the brushed alum would look better on your setup. the chrome would look good if you had a glossy black grill, but with that matte black grill the brushed alum/"matte chrome" would match better i think

    I don't get this train of though, black grill does not mean you have to have black window trim - doesn't have anything to do with it IMO. Sure if you're going for that blacked out look, but a single black grill isn't going to truin cohesion on your car.

    Honeycomb fog grilles would "complete" the look I suppose (+1 to Ade)... IMO, black rings would have been better btw...
