I would love to see Before & After pics! I love the A6 especially the 3.0 and hope to get a C6 or ulitmately a C7 in a couple years. I can't imagine there's much diference between the A6 and S6 bumper - I know the S6 has the LED DRL's in the lower section of the bumper, but other than that I'm ignorant to the other differences.

Basically the same but with larger spacing in the grill and LEDs instead of fog lights.

How'd you install the S-line grill emblem onto the S6 grill? btw, posting to follow up on this project. Good luck!

Purchased oem s6 grill emblem and sline badge. Removed s6 badge with fishing line and modified sline badge with dremel w/ left
side to match contour of oem s6 emblem mounting assembly. Placed layer of clear coat.

Any Specific reason you didn't want to keep the S6 badge on? (I mean, Aside from it not being an S6) lol
    Just wondering, Thanks.

Still up in the air about which way to go, but didn't want to come across as posing car as S6.. Any others have thoughts???

Keep S6 badge and debadge rear
    or
SLine Badge and keep OEM badges in rear

I have a 2009 - A6, and wanted the S6 grill so bad. Then i noticed that its not full frame, as it has the plastic in the middle that i don't like. The current 2009 A6 grill doesn't have that plastic.

If i would have gone with the S6 grill or if i would come across a custom full frame version, then i say definitely keep the S6 logo and debadge rear. In my country people who sell cars with this package call it : "S6 Optic Package". For the people that know Audi C6, they'll see that its not an S6, the others don't matter :).

I say keep the s-line and debadge the rest of the car. I tried to do that to mine, but since the car had spent some years outside, when I got the emblems off you could see where they paint was faded around them and I could not get it to go away with the buffer so I put them back on.

I am trying to perform the s6 mod on my pop's sline a6, but am running into some hiccups....
I figured I could change the softcoding in 09, central electronics, to NO FOGlights but I guess that is not possible? Is that why you have resistors in your fogs?

This conversion is awesome... I'm thinking of doing this as well.

Where did you get the grill from? I found an ebay listing selling the s6 grill for $399...... or did you buy some sort of kit?

    Hey, nice conversion.

I have a C7 A6, I want to add fog lights to my car, the european A6 comes with fogs (halogen model), the bottom left/right grill on the cars is the same but the european version has the hole for the fog lights.....I would also like to buy the left/right fogs and a harness. Does anyone know where I can order this stuff or who should I contact? Been looking for over 5 hours.

I'm currently compiling a list of all body and electrical parts needed for this through research of various forum posts between Audizine and AudiWorld but need a bit more clarification on the wiring. I'm hoping you could help!!

    1) Are the existing harnesses for existing fog lights replaced with new harnesses that just plug straight into the LEDs?
    2) If not, does the power source need to be tapped from the side markers (as I've read in another AudiWorld post) which someone has done.
    3) Are additional resistors needed to limit the current to the LEDs (as I've read). I would think the LEDs is a load that just pulls enough current so long as the voltage is 12V proper.
    4) Any info on the control module (for OEM functionality) is appreciated. I have a shop that is probably knowledgeable enough to program the LEDs any way I want. It's just a matter of wiring things up correctly (which will be done by a different body shop).

    Thanks!!

Recommend car4style.de for s6 harness, control module, and fog & side marker resistors

Full install guide in English included for oem functionality

I also ordered brilliant black color matched side markers from oemplus for US bumper

Tapping side markers is necessary for install

Appreciate the quick response!! I've sent an email to [email protected] but no response yet. I've also contacted them via their website. Hopefully, I'll get a response soon. But in the meantime, can you please clarify a few things? I think I'm getting close to understanding it all...

Audi screw to install LEDs -
Is this what is mentioned in Step 3 by AudiWorld member inverterd bumper guide bolts? Is the S6 bumper guide he mentions a "better" alternative?
    http://forums.audiworld.com/showpost.php?p=23763411

    Qty of resistors needed -
So I understand I'll need 2x resistors so the VAGCOM will see some load instead of open circuit with L and R fogs removed. Will I need another pair of resistors for the side markers? Or are they still powered from the OEM source?

    Wiring harnesses and connectors -
In AudiWorld post, he mentions 2x harnesses and 3x wires. Are these no longer required if ordering the kit through car4style.de?? Will I need the "S6 TFL Stecker" connector (to terminate harness wires and plug into LEDs)?

It seems they have 3 different control modules for this mod so I've got in inquiry into them on which one is needed for my car (Modul 1.1, Modul ABL, and Modul ABL Pacecar)....

    Thanks again audi_s5 !
