The shop that installed by wheels says no but I just want to do a sanity check with the smart folks on this forum.

As long as they get 6 or so turns you are fine. Being you are using aftermarket wheels you may not get those needed turns. Just see how it goes.

I run longer lugs on my car with 5mm spacers up front. Never hurts to be too safe!

So I assume everyone here knows exactly how much the stock bolts stick out of OP's aftermarket wheels? If not, how do you know if he needs longer bolts or not. I have one set of aftermarket wheels where the bolt sits in deeper than stock, and another set where the opposite is true. So they all stick out by different lengths. With the first set, a 5mm spacer would not require longer bolts, but with the second, definitely yes.

Exactly - it depends on the wheels. With my TSW's I def needed longer bolts for 5mm spacers. Pep Boys carries em - 14mm x 27mm x1.5 pitch, I think they were. About $3 each, totally worth it...

Yeah the investment for the piece of mind is worth it in my eyes. I'd say do it.

I would recommend longer bolts as well. And I hope you are already aware of different type of bolts and are using the correct ones with your Vertini wheels ( Ball Seat vs. Conical ).
