My 1996 A4's battery died and i can't unlock the doors. I can't unlock it with the physical key because they have air locks and using the key will not work. The trunk also does not work. It should unlock manually, unless the front door locks have the internal rods disconnected.
Apply a jump pack directly to the engine mount (earth) and the main starter motor feed (+12V direct from battery). This will power the car, so you can use your remote fob to gain access. If you don't have a jump pack, you can use jumper cables from another car's battery, as long as the cables are long enough. I hope your ride isn't slammed.
I would also suggest you get your internal door lock rods replaced, or re-connected once you get your ride open. Good luck!
