    Hey guys,

I looked around and have found different information here and there. I am looking for the exact dimensions of the brake disks of an Audi A4 B6 Sport Pack... Front and rear... Could you help me out?

    Thank you!

    3.0
    312mm front
245 or 255mm rear (random, but leaning towards the 3.0 having a higher incidence of 255mm rears)

    1.8t
    288mm front
245 or 255mm rear (random, but leaning towards the 1.8t having a higher incidence of 245mm rears)

Your best bet for the rears is to just measure them or look it up with the VIN

    VW Touareg
    FRONT:
1LB - 308x29.5mm rotors with single piston floating caliper, generally should be only on the R5 model. Made by ATE.
1LE - 330x32mm rotors with 2 piston calipers. Usage unknown at this time. Made by Brembo.
1LC - 330x32mm rotors with 3 piston calipers. Was used on V6 and V8 model in North America. Made by Brembo.
1LF - 350x34mm rotors with 3 piston calipers. V10 model. Made by Brembo.

    Rear:
1KE - 314x22 rotors with single piston floating caliper, R5 model. Made by TEVES.
1KQ - 330x28mm rotors with single piston caliper. Usage unknown at this time. Made by Brembo.
1KF - 330x28mm rotors with 2 piston calipers. Believed to be used on V6 and V8 North American models. Made by Brembo.

One other note, each model takes a different set of brake pads. Front calipers will bolt on with use of the correct brake rotor and hardware kit. You can purchase Mercedes ML55 front rotors or B6 S4 front rotors to use with the 350mm front calipers. 330mm front calipers will work with Mercedes C230 Sport rotors with modification.

    Porsche Cayanne

    Front Rotor: 350 mm X 34 mm
    Rear Rotor: 330 mm X 28 mm

Front calipers will bolt on with use of the correct brake rotor and hardware kit. You can purchase Mercedes ML55 front rotors or B6 S4 front rotors to use with the 350mm front calipers.

Theres a PR Code listed on the PR code list for you car that should tell you what sized rear rotors you have. If you have the 1KD code you have 245mm rears. If you have the code 1KP, you have 255mm rears.

The PR Code list can be found in either the spare wheel well, or in your Maintenance booklet.

The 312x25 fronts use the same ATE single piston 57 caliper. Just the bracket is different so that it's further out.

Not sure if its' the same deal on the bigger (255 vs 245) rears? different bracket? or whole caliper is different?

3L bracket is taller in the rear, and spaces a little different width to account for +10mm/+2mm size difference

Hey gang, sorry to bring this dead post back but I want to confirm something:

It looks like if I buy the calipers, caliper brackets, and rotors from the b6 a4 3.0, I will be buying 312mm gear, right? And if I do that, it will fit on the 1.8t, assuming wheel clearance is sufficient? I am going to replace the ECS big brake kit with this since I can't justify $900 for rings and I can't keep all the disperate parts straight. The parts store has 312mm gear but they couldn't tell me which parts to buy (288 or 312) for some reason, and I don't have the oem stuff to compare.

I mean, given the choice, bigger is probably better.

A4 B7 brakes would be a better choice. On my daily driver I went with the S4 brakes. The cost benefit is better braking vs more weight. No clue how much brake you will need.

    B6 A4 3.0
    Front Rotor: 312x25
    Rear Rotor: 255x12
    Same Caliper as B6 A4 1.8t

    B6 S4
    Front Rotor: 345x30
    Rear Rotor: 300x22
    Same Caliper as B7 A4/S4
    ****-

    B7 A4
    Front Rotor: 320x30
    Rear Rotor: 288x12

On the B6 A4 its was the caliper brackets that were changed with the larger brakes (and of course the larger rotors) . I don't remember what I did for front dust shields. They will easily fit under the factory 17" wheels. The S4 brakes are also a good option and what I ended up running.

Thanks, Kevin! I'm limited to a 330mm max rotor diameter by the SCCA, but I'm not super worried about trying to hit that limit. I'll look into the B7 brakes too. It's just a matter of brackets when it comes to getting them to fit, right? I can just use stock B7 A4 brackets, calipers, and rotors on my stock B6 A4 spindles?

The B7 uses a different caliper and bracket, the caliper is two parts. One part is cast iron the other half is aluminum. The S4 calipers look very similar but have a slightly different cast iron section (and mount bracket).

I also swapped to aluminum rear bearing housings. The B7 A4 brakes are the smallest brake that will clear the housing.

I think the caliper kit I'm looking at just happens to come with brackets (for some reason), but if I find out otherwise, I'll let you know. I appreciate your response. :)

Oh, right. I only have the ECS Tuning big brake kit that was installed on the car before I bought it, and that means Porsche calipers and custom brackets. I don't have stock parts at all. The big brake kit is interesting, and it looks nice enough, but it's aging, and I just don't want to maintain such an expensive system on the car, no matter how I end up using it.

So... I'd be interested in your old gear. It might be a bit expensive to ship to Pennsylvania from Texas though. What do you think? If you have a look this weekend, and you find it, PM me, and we can take the discussion there.

Will do. Shipping will definitely be a bit but will sell you the parts at a fair price.
