Have you tried solar free tint on ur Audi? are they good?
thinking to tint my windows all around 20% with solar free~~

I just get a quote from a tinter who is going to charge me solarfree 20% DYED STAMINA HP all around for $200,
and solarfree 15% ceramic film all around for $300.
is this the right pricing?

i see. looks cool, so you would have to get the tint and then the ceramic film for the heat... I did some research before when i wanted to tint and I found really good reviews on 3M tints. http://solutions.3m.com/wps/portal/3...ts/Automotive/ they give a lifetime warranty on their product (last I checked),. Only reason i mention it is because solarfree didnt mention anything about a warranty on the tint itself

I got the 3M tint with the lifetime warranty 20% all around for $200 all in. Best shop around your local window and auto shops and see if you can get something under the table

EDIT: I forgot to mention with that cost I also got a chip on my windshield repaired

I don't know about the region, but I think it should be around $100 to $150.
My local shop does it for $80 :)

I was quoted 450 for 40% huper optic ceramic tint. So that price is too far out for ceramic tint.

Labor rates vary thru the country.

Just like an electrician or a plumber can charge one $45/hour in say parts in PA, AL, TN, TX (no offense to those there), where as in NYC or San Fran, CA, the rate will be $125/hour.

As for tint, some of the cost is material but most is labor.

I went the other day and was told $180 for 20% 3M (whatever the heat reflecting kind is) all around and sun visor.. but that includes my Lowes employee discount ; )

Where was it that you got it done for $80? I am in VA, but would probably drive to MD if I could get tinted for $80.

No tint is the best tint imo. But around me there are shops that will do a tint job for 100 bucks. You might have to pay extra for special tints like 5%. 300 is crazy for some plastic on your window.

great, I may need a little more research, or maybe even use 3M. their product sounds good to me.

I got all my windows tinted for $200 and they used FormulaOne brand tint. I could have gotten them tinted for cheaper some place else but the place I got mine done at uses a computer cut pattern so I have no gap. My windows look like they were tinted from the factory

wow ... not sure where to start ... so much bad information in here ... lets see ....

Solar Free window films is a very respectable film manufacturer and it comes from Ohio. Yes its made in the USA. There cheap stuff is made over seas ... but then again .. most cheap stuff is.... haha ... The reason this company is doing so well is that they buy there materials from one of the BIG name brand manufacturers here in the US. They also bought some of those machines from that BIG manufacturer as well ..... IN the end you get a great film with a better price point and very similar to even better performance than a majority of its competitors.

PRICE - this is huge ... price is not only indicated by our geological location but on who installs your tint .... There is such a thing as a Master tinter and pretty descent tinters .... I am sure a few of you know what I am talking about. And because of this .. the price of the installation will vary.

I am a very particular individual and demand the best results when it comes to window tint. to some people window tint is just plastic on windows .... its like saying spf30 will protect you just as good as spf90 ..... do some research before posting please I would hate for some BMW owner to come in here and see that Audi owners are not car guys or gals .... show some love for the 4 rings and get some good tint and installation for your ride .. it will thank you.
