If you cant blow thru a purge valve, does that mean it's faulty?

Do you mean check valve? The purge valve is the n80. Check valves are meant to have flow in one direction.

Not the check valve, Then it's the n80. Right here. http://www.mjmautohaus.com/catalog/p...roducts_id=923
Because my car stalls after each time I fill it up, so I was thinking if i'd replace the purge valve, it would fix it.

N80 is normally closed and opens upon command.

The n80 vents gas tank vapors into the intake track to burn it in the combustion chamber. I don't personally know what symptoms it causes if faulty.

How much did you pay? ECS has 'em for $55ish. Hope you didn't pay an extra 20 dollars.

Oh and by the way, I have a broken Purge valve and my car never stalls after refueling. I don't know if it's different between 1.8's and 2.8's but I have never had that problem and I know mine is bad.

Yes i payed 60. I got it on ECS. And i've been told that it's the purge valve that is causing the stalling.

I hope so for your sake. If it isn't the cause I wouldn't buy buying it off of you. I still need a new one.

Purge valve introduces MORE flamable vapors into the intake, when necessary to vent from the tank. I don't see how this could cause stalling.

But to answer the question, purge valve is a one way valve, so you should be able to blow through it one direction, but not the other. If neither direction, then it's stuck, aka, broken.

I disconnected my purge valve one and te Rpms jumped up as down on idle. It felt like it was going to stall but it didn't. Have u cleaned the valve 1st? Take a cotton swab with carb cleaner.

No i haven't cleaned it, but the new one will be here on Thursday. I will replace it, and go get gas, I will see what will happen. Maybe an explosion :D but probably not.

So I replaced my purge valve and the stalling has stopped. Apparently that was the problem.

Thanks for the order!! Hopefully it fixes your issue. Any other issues besides stalling upon fill up?
