I wouldn't use anything but genuine AUDI on this. Oem bosch is good to but check pricing first. Sometimes the part is cheaper at the dealer, MAFs are one of the things Ive noticed this on

True. But oem does not mean genuine audi. Kinda like all squares are rectangles but not all rectangles are squares you know?

Bosch sells oem mafs that are not genuine audi parts

Also, the Genuine VW/Audi Mass Airflow Sensors for the B7 2.0T FSI are Hitachi units, not Bosch.

Bosch doesn't even makes a compatible element, IIRC.

    lol I like your analogy.

I am pretty sure that Bosch is the OEM Tier 1 supplier though, like they are for our injectors, so it is the same thing.

    EDIT: ^^^ guess I am wrong :-)

ECS has it on sale now $149, but I was affraid to see how much the shipping is.
EDIT: .... but then I dared and found it's $15, not too bad, it comes to be cheaper than GAP.com before shipping.

I stand corrected and even just went to the basement to look at my MAF housing to confirm ;)

I knew the HPFP unit was hitachi, wonder why we pull parts from japan when Bosch is a big enough supplier to make one.

My VW was Bosch for almost anything electronic/sensor wise.

    Shit, you're right.

I believe it goes both ways. If you buy a genuine audi part that bosch makes it will come in an audi box, if you buy a bosch oem part it will come in a bosch box. I know that I'm splitting hairs to an extent here so I appologize if I come off like a dick, I only meant to be specific. I also really like the 12/12000 parts warranty that covers parts and labor when it comes from the dealer. Typically an oem part will come with a 6 month warranty with no coverage on labor

def do it, i just ordered both o2's, maf, camshaft position sensor, n80, in tank fuel pumps from them. I priced everything at a few different audi dealerships, ecs and a couple other on line places and they could not come close to bernadi and shipping is quick also. Thanks beantown for showing me that site.
