Anyone paint their diffuser?

I have an Ibis White A4, and I have been thinking about painting my rear diffuser to match the rest of the car. Anyone have any pics of this? Or even a photoshop? I am having a hard time imagining what it will look like in my head.

i don't like it. just makes it look like the car look a lil' cheaper and like it has a really fat ass. and not a nice ass...just fat.

I had my diffuser painted to match the body (Deep Sea Blue) when I had the AWE exhaust put on. It looks so much nicer than having that ugly gray diffuser sticking out like a sore thumb.

I have a brilliant black and I Plastidiped it matte black and like that. May look good on a white car too...definitely do Plastidip first so you can cheaply see if you like it if not

I painted the rear spoiler grossy black and I painted diffuser (quad diffuser from AWE) for grossy black and I really like it!! I need to take a picture though..if you want i can post it soon...

Have you noticed that when you run your hand across the aluminum paint, it rubs off on your finger?

I agree with others that there should be at least some contrast to avoid the "big butt" effect, which is probably worst on white. Anthony's worked because he had an aluminum finish "blade" adding some contrast. A flat or gloss black valence would look sharp on Ibis.

I've seen a few Ibis valences painted/P-dipped to match. I wouldn't do it. It looks horrible.....very tough to match the paint and it will end up looking like a mismatch hatchet job.

It's just 3m 1080 brushed aluminum vinyl.
You can get the 1 ft x 5ft size and it is long enough to do the bevel of the diffuser.
You want to paint the diffuser first before putting the vinyl on. :)

By rest of car I assume you mean to match the body color....

But I painted my standard valance from black to charcoal grey to match the front grill and filler panel.

They sell a titanium as well as other brushed finishes..

I am about to plastidip my valence as well. Can't decide between matte black or glossy. What do ya'll think? My car is teak Brown.

Car is meteor gray with a matte black S4 diffuser with silver trim, and I thought about color matching... Don't necessarily like the black but not positive color matching will improve it.

Did this, not sure if i like it or not, just wanted to do something on the car :). In search of a new diffuser anyway so will work for now.
