just as a42007 says.
around a corner, with a dip in it, wants to kick the rear end out. ive got the rs4 sway, and didnt have this problem with the konis, so i have to say the st's are the cause of it. (i have scales and corner balanced the car to try and fix it) i did a couple of different settings front and rear, and never got it even close to the koni's.
the front end just compresses way to much, which lifts the rear end, and gives you that feeling in your stomach. that whoa feeling.
i dont like that feeling.
another example, although this is just bad driving, but it happens. your hauling ass, going into a long sweeping corner, and the dick getting on the highway goes from the on ramp to the third lane. you hit the brakes. your susp. is already compressed from the corner, compresses more from the braking, then bounces the rear end, thus bouncing the front end.
now that i think about it, they really do suck. i hate to hate on products, but i just dont care for how these feel at speed. even in a straight line over 90 hitting a dip is sketchy <** havent used that word in a while :), but very fitting.
if your speed limit is 75 and your average speed is 85+ i would totally pass on these.
they are great for the price, and they go very low, they are a comfortable ride, but there is not much sport to them.
like i said, im getting rid of mine. and they have been poping up in the classifieds more and more often.
and ray, not that im sword fighting or anything, but i routinely drive 110+ for a good portion of my 430 am commute... and they scare me.
im just used to a very stiff suspesnion i guess. this was my first half ass susp. purchase, and it shows when push comes to shove.
my 4300lbs q45 with tokiko adjustables and eibach springs, handles better in the corners.
