Hey everyone, just wanted to keep the community informed of our B7 product line, progression on the 2.0T, and the continued devotion we have to it.
RAI Motorsport is a Baltimore, MD based company officially founded in 2006. We are a smaller but tight knit team that really enjoy what we do. We as a team work very hard to be the best we can. Over the course of our existence we have grown tremendously, but never lost sight of our roots. Early on we established ourselves as the go to shop in our region for custom projects or one off builds. We took a great deal of pride in our work, and strived to make each project better than the last. This allowed us the opportunity to really learn what works and what does not. We have successfully built hundreds of turbo cars, and compiled vast amounts of data on the individual setups. It also allowed us to build relationships with companies that have similar goals, and share in experience.
We heavily invested into our in house fabrication and added some really great guys to our staff to help handle the rising demand. We are very proud to manufacture our components in house. Many of our customers get to see their exhausts, intakes, turbo manifolds, etc being built. We also use premium components in our fabrication work, and only work with the best companies to get components for any of our products. If we can’t offer something unique in terms of price, performance, or reliability, we simply will not make it and focus our energy elsewhere. We still stay true to our custom roots, and still build every product in a one off manner.

Structuring ourselves to operate like this allows us to stay cutting edge in terms of our designs and products, and really we have a lot of fun this way. We are not ever committed to a single turbo, or any other part for that matter. We simply can re-design and engineer our components to be the latest and greatest should something better come to be. If you can dream it, we can build it. Our experiences and talented staff allow us to properly engineer our components, not just toss things together. We stick to the mechanical truths of our components and firmly understand the pro's and con's of every designs detail.

Now, onto the products...

We started out developing our signature RAI Downpipe, something that was previously not offered to the community. We knew that there were members who wanted the performance and a small change in sound without the turbo-back price. This product has been extremely popular among the B7 community and we appreciate your support.

After our downpipe was made, the next logical step was to make a HFC/test pipe with factory flanges. However, just like any of our products, we made sure the quality was top notch and we offered features never before seen in the community. We made sure to use an oversized 4” turbo outlet flange to ensure optimal flow and transition. For those worried about throwing a CEL, we include a spacer with the ability to change flow so that every car has the perfect setup. We even include the option of a 3rd bung for the hardcore guys with external wideband oxygen sensors.

Heat is the enemy for any turbocharged application and the B7 is no different. That’s why we developed our RAI Motorsport Front Mount Intercooler (FMIC) Kit for the B7 A4. We use High Density Garrett Bar&Plate core designs, widely regarded as the best in the business. Our mandrel bent piping and silicone couplers bolt up flawlessly and the option of Re-Bar and Power Steering Cooler make it a nice modular product that can save the customer money

The K0R was the most highly anticipated product for our B7 product line. We started out with a single vision: to make a bolt-in solution that was cheap and delivered serious power. With the ability to stretch just over 300whp, and a plug and play design, the K0R is a real winner. This turbo has been proving itself against some of the best, and we are proud to say it came from RAI.

At RAI, we don’t want to limit ourselves to one specific product. We like to test out the newest products on the market and the EFR & GTX kits prove that. We start out with an incredible manifold. The fabricators take extra time to ensure the strongest welds and best performance. The downpipe bolts right up to the factory flanges, and the whole system fits like it came from the factory. We’ve already easily passed 400awhp on a 1.8T, and the limits are endless on the 2.0T once the fueling can support it. Don’t hesitate to call us up for any turbo build you have in mind.

These aren’t the only products we offer. Our 10,000 square foot facility has a great inventory of parts. If it’s available, we can get it and install it on your car. We actually prefer to, because we know that our customers only leave with the highest quality installations and components. Call us up today to schedule an appointment or just stop by and check out the shop.
