I've been curious on what white wheels would look like with a black car. Am thinking about plasti dipping glossy white sometime this winter. Anyone done white with black before or have thoughts?

I have a white B8 and really wanted white wheels but just didnt bite the bullet because of the typical German car, wonder brake dust. I already have to clean my wheels way too often so get white wheels and you'll need to do it after each drive.

I switched my brake pads to posi-quiet low dust pads and the improvement is amazing. It'll take a week to two weeks for anything significant to build up (if you don't seal up the wheels).

I'm contemplating getting my S5 peelers painted (or powdercoated) white. I'm not interested in plastidip. Anyhow, has anyone here done it? I'm curious to see what it would look like on a meteor gray A4.

if you're going to get white and will be keeping them i would get them powdercoated/painted. white plasti dip can look good but the problem is that they get dirty so quickly, and if you don't clean them too often it can start to stain and will be even harder to clean off with just a normal wash, so you just have to clean them more often than painted wheels basically.

of course with dip its way cheap and you got nothing to lose, so i would just try to dip them first and see how they hold up and how you like them, do it yourself for like under $50. and then if you want to keep em that way and the dip is too hard to maintain you can just get them painted then, which will be much more expensive of course.
