    RNS-D Install Question

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Putting an RNS-D in my car and have a quick question... I have the harness from the unit I bought online, there are a couple of small gauge wires that need to be hooked up to my car. Does anyone have any wiring diagrams for the install? The site that used to have them is down :(

Post a picture or two of the harness. It's usually plug and play.

My Install was just about plug and play. Just need to run the SAFE wire or jump the pin on the back of the unit so it can be unlocked. Of course no info on the DIS without the CAN gateway. Plug the antenna in and good to go.
I didn't use any type of harness.

hacker, have any OEM C-Navi discs? Particularly #7 for New England. OEM Discs on eBay are like $80 for an older C-Navi unit...
I reflashed the firmware on it and now I'm stuck with the German language until I throw an OEM nav disc in and change the language!

    i have only D-Navi 2003 and 2001 version cd's.
u can change language from menu :

The unit will likely come up in German, to switch it to English...
    Press the mode key.
From the menu, use the right hand knob and select the last item "Einstellungen" (settings) by pressing the knob.
    Another menu will appear.
Pick the first item, "Sprache whlen" (select language) and press the right hand knob.
In the menu that appears, you will have several languages to choose from, "Englisch (Imperial)" (English in miles) and "Englisch (Metrisch)" (English in kilometers) are the logical ones.
Pick the appropriate language and press enter.
Your Nav Plus will now be in English (or the language you chose).

You can change back to English from the settings menu. Hit the "Mode" button-then "Settings"- "Select Language" is the first option in the next display.

Thanks for the above replies gentleman. Here's the problem, to change the language (at least on my unit) you must have a nav disc in because the menu "Sprache whlen" is completely grey'd out and does not allow me to select it.
My unit came in English and after I did the firmware update (unaware the language was going to switch to German) it's perma German now.. lol. Disco, I had someone from the forums burn me a disc a send it however, it did not read in the unit. I heard that if you do a firmware update it will not read burned discs unless you insert and OEM disc 1 time before using any burned ones. It could have also been the incorrect nav disc for my unit but this guy said he was positive it was for a C-Navi unit.. So I'm open to any helpful insight. If you wouldn't mind burning me one and sending it my way I can paypal for the labor and postage just let me know. PM me and I can shoot you an addy.
