I want to buy a spare motor. I have "APB" in my 2002 Allroad 6 spd.
Before biting on one of the offers out there. What are the differences between the various 2.7T engine versions out there? Currently stage 2 on the way to stage 3, future RS6:

    - Bottom end (how strong)
    - Flow (heads, valves, etc.)

    The versions

Since I will be first to respond. Everyone will tell you to go BEL for strength. I went from a bel to an apb though (great price for one)

    Currently working on a BEL.
2 years ago I installed K03/K04 hybrid turbos from an APB on a BEL. Managed with some grinding, and swearing.
No trying to install K04 framed APB on BEL, and that does NOT seem to work as planned.
Will get original turbo pair to compare where the interference occurs, and if there is a way to modify to make it fit.
