    Question 09 A3 S-Line - Titanium

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I recently purchased this car and have a question specific to the 2009 MY. I've searched the internet and have come to the conclusion that this MY did not have S-Line badges on the fenders, doors or front grill. I've been unable to find a definitive answer - can someone that has an 09 confirm the badge locations? Or are they not installed on cars with the titanium package? I do have S-Line badges in the door sills.

On another topic; I also have the open-sky roof and found that it is noisy/loud with the panel all the way open. Does anyone make a wind deflector that's functional and doesn't look too bad?

    Thx in advance...

Titanium does not have the S-Line badges on fenders or the chrome rings around the fog lights, but does have the S-Line door sills. The titanium option deletes the badges from the areas that you mentioned. Do you have the S-Line badge on the steering wheel?

No idea on the wind deflector.

i have a 2012 titanium edition A3-and i do have S-Line badges on the fenders, as well as in the sills and the steering wheel. There are no chrome surrounds on the foglights (thankfully! i would have removed if there were) I believe at some point the S-line package and Titanium sport package were joined. Originally the titanium package did not come with S-line....but I believe after 2011 (2010?) the packages were merged into one, if i'm not mistaken.

No, there 's no badge on the steering wheel, although it is a 3-spoke with multifunction features.

Before I bought this car i had an opportunity to check out a 2010 with the same options and it had badges on everything - go figure..

I do have a 09 S-Line. It has SLINE badges all over the car. Front Fenders, doors trims, etc. None on the steering wheel.

From what I found out on the Audi website and others is the Titanium Pkg. requires the S-Line Pkg., but not the Sports Pkg. in 09. In 2010 the new package name was dubbed the Titanium Sports Pkg which included all the afore mentioned options.
The point of this thread was to find out from other 09 owner's if their car has badges on the exterior. Apparently my car is correct as is. Why Audi deleted the badges for this 1 year will remain a mystery. I may consider adding badges to the grill and steering wheel.

I have an '09 Titanium A3 which included the S-Line Pkg, but not the Sport Pkg just as you say (oddly enough, I think the Titanium Pkg and Sport Pkg were mutually exclusive in '09!). As far as badging goes: my A3 has fender badges, and door sill badges, but NO steering wheel badge and NO grill badge - '09 seems like a weird year in the A3 world! I'd post a pic, but doesn't look I can either.

I was able to upload a pic to the A3 members gallery - it's not the best, but it's a start. If you post to the gallery let us know...

I know this doesnt answer your question since you're looking for 09-specific info, but for the sake of getting this info into a single thread:

My 2008 3.2 Quattro S-Line Titanium has S-Line sills, side and front grill badges. No badge on the multi-function steering wheel though.

    for 2009 vehicles.
The premium pkg comes with the s-line pkg. The xenons and the led drl comes with the premium pkg.
Titanium pkg comes with: Ti wheels, Blk grill, Blk headliner and Piano trim.
Sport pkg comes with: Magnetic ride, sport seats and the tri spoked star wheels (the ones on the s4 premium pkg)
If you order both Ti and Sport pkg, it will have magnetic ride, sport seats + everything in the Ti pkg.

When I bought my 2009, I opt for the Ti and not the sport because I did not need the Magnetic ride and could not justify paying $3000 for just sport seats.
The car I test drove had both Sport and Ti pkgs on it.

S-line badges are only on the front fenders and the door sills.

The quattro badge is on the grill if the car is equipped with quattro (haldex to be exact)
