Yea, I don't think anyone is going to risk their job (or a hefty fine) over this.

More like risking their entire business, not just a job or fine!

Audizine doesn't condone illegal SMOG passing so you won't find any recommendations here for that; it is way too big of a deal in California.

Your best best is to run a high flow cat (which has 95% the performance of a test pipe), swap in the stock for a bit, or get that test pipe red red red hot and hope for the best.

If you do try to pass with the test pipe, make sure you get a Pre-Test first; lot of people do not know that if you fail SMOG, the DMV is alerted and your car can become a gross polluter, requiring you to SMOG every year rather then every 2 years.

Max, how much would you charge just to swap out my test pipe? I'll have a stock cat w/ me. I would do it myself, but I don't have a high enough jack/ramps

Christian charged me $125 to put my 034 hfc in so i assume it would be the same to swap the stock one back.

Car will not pass smog if you have only a test pipe. Some high flow cats will pass, howevewr if you have a stage II file you will most likely fail.

    This is what we recommend:

    • Put stock cat back on
    • Flash to non test pipe file
    • Let us do the readiness checks with the scan tool
    • Go straight to the smog shop and get your certificate

    Issue? send me an email

When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life.
