I have an 2009 A4 P+ 18' Sport Package. Is Tirerack the best in your opinion? And what brand do you guys recommend?

    Thanks again!

I've always bought my tires on Tirerack.com. It is fast, the tires get to me in just a few days, plus you can pick a good place to install before you purchase....

Use cashback sites while purchasing at tire rack. I got over $50 back.

When I just needed tires Discount Tires Direct was a better deal. When I needed tires and wheels Tire Rack had a better selection and overall price. Both shipped quickly and were easy to deal with.

Thanks for the info. I checked discount tire direct and they also offer "TPMS Rebuild Kit" (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) for $5.00 for each tire. Is this something I need as well? First time I am changing tires on this car. Thanks!

Just had mine replaced a month ago and I did not need the TPMS rebuild kit. If you are changing tires only, you should be good. I also had mine done at Audi with an alignment done after installation. OTD it cost me $190. I had to go to Audi because the douchecanoes at tire kingdom wanted me to sign a waiver stating if they destroyed my rim it wasn't their fault. When hell freezes over.

    My tires at tirerack were:

255/35-19 Hankook Ventus V12 evo K110 XL @ $202.00/tire. I also had a 70 or 80 dollar mail in rebate. Total cost after shipping was 881.42. After the rebate it was basically right at 800. Hope this helps.

I just bought tires for my G37 from onlinetires dot com, by far the best pricing i have seen. I bought Michelin Pilot Super Sports all 4 for $793 shipped to my house, tire rack was charging $1048. I used paypal, so i had some sort of guarantee if something happened.

$190 ???? You got ripped very bad buddy. I got my rims/tires switched and wheels aligned with complimentary storage of my old rim/tires for $98 from local Audi Dealer. Maybe I got a winter season deal or something but $190 is too much just for switching tires!

I think you missed the part where he said he had an alignment done as well.

I got alignment done too. It was pulling to the right after I hit a pot hole..It still pulls to the right very slightly and Audi cannot fix it !!

Nice. Sounds like you got a great deal. They charged me $25 per wheel and $89 for the alignment. But if you think that is bad, check out how much Audi charged this guy:

I just re-read what you posted cyber...it would appear as if you switched your wheels out and had an alignment. What I had done, and the OP needs done, is the actual rubber pulled off the old rims and new rubber put on plus an alignment. Please correct me if I am wrong.

You got it right..I originally had Titanium rotors with Summer Performance tires. Bought AG M310 and Blizzak LM 60 for winter. Audi put the Blizzaks on the rims and then aligned the wheels.
I dont think I supplied them with lug bolts either. Audi uses ball seat and mine use cone seat. May be the lugs were in one of the boxes the rims were shipped in. If Audi put the lugs for me for free, then I think this is the best deal ever.
Jason has to answer this question !

+1 Got my V12s from discount tire direct. Awesome price and free shipping! No problems whatsoever.

How long did it take you to get your rebate? I still need to mail in the request.

I think Tirerack has just been around too long. I like some of the newer guys in the industry like SimpleTire.com and Discount Tires. They have newer technology on their sites and its easier to use.

best to shop around, tire rack prices was better in the past, maybe TOO much TV $$$$ advertising, service always great, with todays overpricing i buy at the best DELIVERED price for the brand style and size I WANT, i search for hrs sometime, the googles etc i suspect get xtra $$$ as you see some sites always first and again + again its not by accident!!!!!
