Q7 Backup Camera Question

So I have been told that this is possible to do, but I can't seem to be able to figure it out. Can someone tell me how to get the backup camera as the default screen when I put my Q7 in reverse. Currently it goes to the screen that shows the distance sensors. Then I have to hit a button to get it to change to the camera. I have to do this every time I put it in reverse. There has to be someway to make the camera the default. I appreciate any feedback anyone can give me.

You need to use vagcom...go to backup camera and change the setting for both graphic and display

Thanks, Ill give that a try and see if I can get it. Do you know if it is in the long code helper or do i need to change the code manually? If manually, do you know what needs to be changed?

pretty sure you don't have to do anything with the VAG com. I believe you can do it while standing still in the car/setup/parking system portion of MMI.

not 100% on this, but I'm almost certain I changed ours from the park distance screen to the camera screen, and I've never plugged in a vagcom to that vehicle.

Someone else told me that as well. I checked there and did not see anything about setting the default setting. All that was on that menu was the Volume levels and pitches for the sensors. But ill check it again before I start messing with the vagcom.

It's under the car settings.... Go into the parking system under car. I'm about 95% on that.

How do you get it to show the distance menu. I can only get my A6 to show the camera.

I just tried that and there was a setting that allowed me to turn display On or Off. So I thought maybe that meant the distance display, so I turned it off, now it won't let me turn it back on and I have to distance display or backup camera. I guess I need to take it into the dealer.
