B7 A4 upgrades.. worth investing in

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I recently purchased an Audi A4 2.0T 6MT as my daily commuter car. Everything is stock except for a few cosmetic upgrades. What are some mods (both performance and cosmetic) that are worth investing in?

I've heard some ideas are intakes, stage 2 kits, exhaust, and sway bars.. which are the best?

    Thanks!

Go stage II with a HFC and your wont look back. The extra power is great and once you replace a few necessary items (DV, PCV fix and N80), the car will be reliable and fuel efficient. Plus, the extra heat from the increased boost will lessen carbon buildup

it is all opinion. if you like the car how it is, dont touch it. if it's slow, start with a tune. if it handles like crap, start with a rear swaybar, and work to coil overs.

I'm pretty happy with just a tune. going through and replacing all the potential problem parts before I do anything else

Worth investing in? None. Now if you want to modify your car for your own enjoyment then enjoy. But investing in? If you want to invest right now I can only recommend metals.

there is not searching, and then there is not searching (at all). every question you have asked can be answered by the stickies.

i will say that looking for things to change "just because" is a great way to flush money down the toilet.

    Agree on this simply because
Chip is the best bang for the buck
The Stock A4 seats don't have enough "hugging" and lumbar support to me, s4 helps with both
Suspension, stock is good ish but get a decent set of coils
Sound ** meh it's okay, but the stock radio sucks.
Wheels - don't get VMR please. everyone and their mom has VMR's. If you get VMR don't get a standard color, geeze.

reflash and high flow cat or test pipe are by far the best bang for the buck upgrades. There is little to no power to be found in the intake(whatever you do, dont waste your money on a carbonio) and an exhaust will run you a grand give or take and it might unlock 10hp or so.

If I were to do it all again with a more conservative attitude there's only a handful of things I'd actually redo.

    1) Chip (w/ OEM piston DV)
    2) High quality high percentage tint
    3) RS4 rear sway bar/pedals/oil cap
    4) Debadge

    Total cost ~$1000

This is assuming you already have an S-Line, if you don't, I'd add suspension (sport is low enough to live with, couldn't handle non-sport though) and 18" wheels to that list too.
