I'd love to help but I have zero information about your car. At the very least I need a model year.

Nope, not the same. There is a split for the 2000 model year. Here you are:

As far as wiring diagrams...geez, you'd have 50 pages of diagrams just to show all the different systems those relays operate. You'll have to be more specific if there's something you're looking into.

Yeah, the Bentley has diagrams, and they are accurate...but they suck. They make your brain hurt, especially if you aren't familiar with their voo-doo. I much prefer a good aftermarket color diagram as they are so much easier to decipher.

If you want something specific, PM me your email and I can send you what you need. If you really just want the entire pile of diagrams (muhuhuhaha), PM me and I will get you seriously hooked up with some good stuff.

lol. You'll have to be more specific about your symptoms. Which buttons, what used to happen, what happens now, etc, etc.

    These buttons...

Wow, that is an interesting problem.

I've consulted the diagrams on this one to make sure, but there are no "modules" or "relays" of any kind between those switches and the instrument cluster. It is direct. There is what I assume to be a 4 pin connector for those switches. 1 of the pins is just a ground supply from a ground point that is "behind the left side of the dash". The other 3 wires are individual signals to the cluster for each of the 3 commands (RESET/ON/OFF, UP, DOWN). So it is either that the entire switch is unplugged, or the switch is just not getting it's ground signal. Without a ground supply, even if the switch and all 3 wires to the cluster are perfect, no magic will happen.

I suppose I'd begin by locating the connector for this switch and see if it is getting ground. Then go from there.

See. This is why you should start your thread with your actual symptoms so we can be of better and more accurate help. All the diagrams I went to the trouble of posting above (not that much trouble) are of no help for this issue. If you tell me what's wrong I can post something more useful. Like this:

*Aftermarket diagram. I have cross checked against the Bentley. It is accurate for this system.

Wow thank you, you are a great ressource on this forum...
That's probably why it doesnt work , the ground, because i remember double checking the connecters behind the cluster.
How can i check if the ground is correctly connected ?

Hey seerlah is there any link with my ground problem ?
I post a video in "my changing dash's" thread after the job was done showing different (3) signal i had and still have today in my cluster's screen.
    http://s30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...t=IMG_0122.mp4
Its a hell of a puzzle this one.
Anyway i'll try checking how many wires i have behind that connector and maybe rerun another ground to it, i don't want to search for it

    hi
I have a serious problem with my audi a4 b5 (year 2000, AJM engine, 1.9TDI 85KW) that consists of this:
when y try to turn on my clima (AC) it burns my fuse. But the interesting thing is that it doesn't burn the right fuse, it burns nr36 fuse that connects left/right intermitent light signals which suposed to be the fog lights fuse.
The problem is that I can't find a Air Conditioning electrical wiring diagram :( so please help me! thanks

Thank you. I got the diagrams that walky_talky20 sent. I didn't know that audi sells only petrol cars in the USA. Thank you and keep in touch.
