Post your wheel/tire setup with pictures and information...

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Since I still get 3-4 messages a week (sometimes more) about wheel and tire fitment for the C5 I figured why not make a thread of all of our setups. Post pictures of wheel size , offset , tire size and if any fender mods were needed to make that setup work. This would be a good reference thread for newcomers or just members looking to switch it up, this way you can get an idea of what size/setup you would like to run before making any big purchases. Since the C5 is getting older and cheaper by the year I see more and more members joining with C5's and wanting information.

This is for any C5 model A6/S6/RS6/allroad

List the following. Summer & Winter wheels , OEM or Aftermarket.

    Wheel make/name (BBS LM)
    Wheel size (18x9.0)
    Offset (33-45ET)
    Tire size (245/40/18)
    Suspension (coilovers/h&r sports/stock...etc etc)
Modifications if needed (fender roll/spacers...etc etc)
And most of all post 2-4 good images of each setup so that the fitment can been seen clearly.

Please try to keep the images semi small (800x600ish) so that there is better load time. thanks.

I'll start with my setups (in no particular order) feel free to join in and add to the thread whenever you get a new setup or have made some changes.

Also list what car they are on since they all have different sized fenders...etc etc

As i think this is a great thread i dont believe people truely understand the whole "wheel fitment" math as in offset, width ect.. witch spurs on the questions being you know the in's and out's of C5 fitment. Not that nobody else in here does, but you are the most advertised cause your car is perfect.

No for real, I get so many msg's, It would be nice to have a thread for people to check.

I mean we have threads for useless shit like face thread or what did you do today??? At least if we get all of us posting in here it will be so much info to others.

It is a forum and people join it for help, so why not make a thread dedicated to the most asked questions on here?

And if this thread gets going it would be a perfect place for people to learn fitment.

Wheel fitment is very simple math, I do know the in's and out's of the C5 but I could go buy a 350Z or M3 tomorrow and know the in's and out's to those cars within hours. Its not hard.

And if your not good with fitment and own a C5 just think how easy it would be to pick out a car you like in the thread then buy the same size wheels/tires and suspension as that car, it would be so easy and save you time and money.

Besides, the C5 section is looking a little dead.

I'm totally sure you do, and many have been from me hahaha... I agree this is an awesome idea. I have to dig up all of my older setups and compile my own contribution..

After you shared with me that website, I bother you (slightly) less lol... Feels like the right time to share with the rest - http://www.willtheyfit.com/

That will allow anyone to mess with offset/tire options. Frank + that site = my actual complete understanding of offsets & fitments!!!

And Nick, I'm sure I bothered you just as much for the wide tire info lol, I need to get some 275 R compounds with pulled fenders and 18x9.5's
There is currently some 275s on my car as of yesterday hehe... Coming off tho. The offset on the 9.5's puts the tire too far out. Its an et33. For these, for winter, I might run 245 all around. Then a different offset 9.5 and go to 265. But as far as R compunds, my 245 R compunds have never let me down. The grip with those is unreal. You would need BIG hp/tq to break loose 275s all around!!

Those damn 4.2 & Allroad guys can run 275s no problem.... Grrrrrr

Still compiling (looking for) pics. I will def add at least 5-7 different sets of wheels worth of pics.

Got the car brand new in 04 and had a bad chrome obsession in its early years. I know it needs to be dropped! Every picture shows it on OEM S-Line suspension so I didn't need to do any modification to fenders.

OK, finally compiled mine. There is 1 set I had that is missing, but literally only had for a week & sold them because I didn't like them and re-sold them. Only a few pics of some of them, I will add if I find more..

Aside from stock wheel pic, ALL others my car had H&R Sport Springs & Bilsteins.

    Stock when I got it.
17x7.5 OEM BBS et43. 235/45/17 Toyo Proxes 4, OEM Sport Suspension (same as S-Line).

    Next 19x8.5 et35 Moda R6, 235/35/19 Nitto 555.

Next 18x8.5 et30 AMG Reps (Audi center caps), 235/40/18 Falken FK452. Slight roll on front fenders.

Next 18x8 et35 R8 Reps, 235/40/18 Falkens. Only kept for a month. 5mm spacers in rear (optional).

Next was the ones I sold right away, no pics.
Then I went with the AMG Reps again, but this time in Atlas Gray Metallic (painted, an Audi color lighter than Dolphin Gray but close). Again in 18x8.5 et30, 235/40/18. I have more/better pics of these somewhere I will add..

Then I also have my summer/track/spirited driving setup. 17x8 et35 Kosei T1 (17 lbs) in satin black, 245/45/17 Falken Azenis R Compound. EPIC GRIP! Slightly more front rolling needed.

    The tread

LOL. Hey, the flared fenders are one of the main reasons why I love this car, and have had two of them. So I try and take full advantage of the extra width.

Gotta have something to make up for the crappy transmissions (gone through two of those too, before the 6speed swap) and lack of turbos :)
