The TT seats look very much like the sline or sport seats, if so, I think they will fit fine.

Good luck with the swap. Like stated above the only issue on fitment would be if the rails are different.

I bet 7:1 that the rails are the same...I am taking my wife to the airport right now so she can go to Vegas for the weekend....
At least it is easy to get the original seats out, just 4 big screws and one plug for power.

Well they sure to look comfortable....I've really been debating seats for my next mod. I've been dead set on dtm but I spend alot of time INSIDE my car so I am leaning towards comfort....

Wait I'm a bit confused, in the virtual pics, I ^see two different seats. And I'm assuming that you put your seat into the tt? Or are both tt seats different. How did your seat fit into the tt... And I never knew that a4s came with cloth seats!!

Dont know the model year and the price, these are from a friend of my friend, who have them laying in garage for sime time... all i know that these are from cabrio, and the model year should be 08 or 09....

DRAKLORE: the virtual is the same picture from my A4, on the first one its the original, and the second is the same picture flipped in photoshop horizontally and the seat is also photoshopped there...
and yes here in europe, cheaper models of A4s came with just single cloth seats....

Looking forward to the outcome of this, it will be nice to get some additional options on OEM seats other than S4 / RS4.

    thx...

I should have finally time on thursday to do it... so far it seem that the rails should be almost the same, but it was hard to measure it while the seat was on its place... so we will see once both seats will be out of the car som we can compare it a try to fit the one from cabrio in...

they should be mk2 TT seats. I believe mk1 TT's shared the 3 point mount like a mk4 chassis VW.
Expenses in F1 have gone down since the 1960s because teams don't need an extra pit crew to help the driver carry around his balls when he is not in the car.

The TT isn't based on the A4 platform, so yeah, they might have different rail mounts. Either way, it should be rather easy to fab up a conversion bracket or just drill new holes.

Are you going to be selling your cloth seats? How much for the set?

Shipping will probably be too expensive over the the atlantic but I've seriously been considering switching from black leather to black fabric....

interested to see how this will go, the MK2 TT is based on the MKV GTI, we have done the swap from MK2 TT to MKV but not to Audi A4, the only thing I wonder about is the actual connectors working properly, and the passenger airbag working properly, good luck please keep us updated.

    regards,

The rails are the same and tho holes fit perfectly.... u nedd to do just some modifications... will show you later on pictures...
for now: the connector to airbag must be changed, and you have to make connection to seatbelt on the rail... you will see later...

rather than swap the airbag connector I would suggest removing the entire airbag sensor from the original seats and swapping it as a unit into the TT seats. See nickscarblog . com for details. I followed this procedure when I installed S4 seats to my A4.

I read somewhere that using a different airbag sensor will require recalibration of the ECU to the new airbag or your airbags may not deploy.

    Good luck!
    Ken

Thanks guys :) Now to the promised pictures...

The rails are almost he same, there is just some ledge on the TT seat we cutted out

The holes fit prefetcly from the TT rails on the B7 platform...

As I mentioned, the connectors are different for the airbag, but the cables are the same, blue, black, brown, so we just swapped them between...

You have to take the lamp from the b7 seat and put it to the TT seat, what i was suprised, the TT seat has a space for it...

The last thing is the seatbelt. On the TT the seatbelt is not attached to the seat as in a4. But there is a hole on the rail on the same place as on the b7. Yue just have to attach it there with a screw... the biggest problem is that the A4 seat has a space fot the seatbelt for leading it out from the rail, the TT does not, so we had to make a hole in the TT side plastic for it.

This is one of the biggest appeals to me on replacing the seats, while they don't bother me that much, my wife's biggest complaint with the car is that the seats are uncomfortable.

If I could find a tan pair of seats for $300, its a great deal. Especially when compared to the $1500+ that S4 seats would cost.

So finally we had some tome to fit the other seat as well, with the same procedure
just had to switch the connector to seatbelt as well, that was not on the passanger's side...
will post you some better pictures soon, for now crapy cell pictures...
