I am running the osir front fenders now and I have my rear fenders flared out about an inch. I needed clearance for my ride height and my wheel offset. Car is in the shop getting paint now but I can post some pictures of it after its done with paint.

I modified the front fender liners so basically the back half isn't there but the front is still there to prevent crap from coming into the engine with the osir fronts. The rears I just totally removed. Suspension would get a little dirty but the car was so low before it didn't matter :-P

I see, if you don't mind can you post some pictures of those too when you get your ride back?

Also, I can only imagine the cabin being a lot louder(road noise) with the majority of the liners out right?

The rear liner is super simple to remove. I removed anything that was causing rubbing including that stupid rubbing screw and set a new screw to hold the rear bumper in place. The front liner required a little more trimming cause I wanted to keep my engine bay coverage similar without a buncha fender liner in the back half with the osirs on...

Shouldn't be too hard to get rid of it, just wet sand it down then hit it with good compound and polish

cosmetic shouldnt be much of a problem..
but i'm still curious..., so the flat surface has been pulled out hence this would make the gap between the tyre and wheel to the body (height) look higher no?
since the flat surface runs around the entire arch, what about the toward centre and rear (plastic bumper), is there any "pull" to accomodate such flat to pull contrast?
another one is, how about inner fender liners, is there extension, how, or did u just removed it all which it may cause rust at inner parts no?

Inner fender liner has been removed to accomodate the pull and I have sprayed it as to prevent rusting. The bumper doesn't fit nicely cause when the painting was done the screw was removed. Will be heatgunning it today and it should fit up nicely. The flat part of the rear fender was pulled out so it almost looked like a rain gutter and then it was smoothed down to mold with the rear quarter panel. With the stock wheels it does look very silly as they sit very much in the pull but I can assure you, once the VMRs are on, the flare is just barely enough clearance with the wheels and my ride height. :) Thanks for the comments guys!

To accomodate the flatness of the rear bumper I guess you could always heat gun it but it may contort the shape of the bumper for the rest of the car. I didn't bother with that ATM. Was more concerned about the pull and wheel clearance with ride height. Wanted to have a beefier A3 and its almost silly when I compare it to a stock body a3 :-P

Dead on about the head gun. Gotta be extremely careful when trying to manipulate the plastic, and FFS, take your time

For sure. The only part I am heat gunning is the part where it attaches to the fender...not tryin to smooth out the flat part of the rear bumper...too risky lol.

really curious the final outcome would look like, so far so good...hope all goes well for ya
but wouldnt pullin out the flat portion of the qtr panel makes the car look more jacked up, hence the gap in the wheel arch would be more appearing and you might need to drop the car even more?

I'll post up pictures on this thread when the car is ready for the show...I wish I could drop it more...but with my ride height as is and my wheels, I barely have clearance...the rear bumper part even hits at times on the tire!
