    B8 RS4 Wheels compared to B7 RS4 wheels

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    Hi,
I'm thinking of buying this OEM RS4 wheels from 2010 A4 Prestige S-line for my B7 S-line avant. Are they exactly same? I really like the stance and concave look of OEM B7 RS4 wheels.

    Specs:
    8.5 Jx19H2 ET43

    Bolt pattern: Audi 5x112
    Offset: ET 43
    Width: 8.5"
    tire specs:
    255/35/19

    Thanks

Don't see a pic and am pretty confused by what you are asking. However, I can tell you that B7 RS4 wheels are 19x9 et29.

Are you talking about these wheels?

If so, I don't believe they are as concave as B7 RS4 wheels (8.5 vs 9) and from personal experience seeing both in person.

This sounds like a question for the "FTWLTBDWICTW" thread.

I know very few have made the OEM RS4 wheels (19x9" et 29 I believe) work on there B7 a4/s4's. You'd need coilovers, the right amount of camber and some fender work to make it work properly.

No idea on B8 RS4 wheels though...

I thought B8's had 66.6 mm hubs? Not the 57.1 mm we have.

OEM B7 RS4 wheels with 225/35 tires on a B7 S4. Not a very difficult fitment but looks damn good.

    Fixed that for you!

I have the same pics saved on my comp as well. Staticuxo's s4 is amazing clean. I'd love to do an OEM RS4 wheel setup eventually. I just need coilover's first.

    S4 Big Head,
Thanks for the info. Yes that's the wheels i was referring to. seeing this in person, how do you compare this with VMR 708? because if I buy B8 RS4, I still have to get hubcentric rings and spacers.

OEM RS4 wheels have the crazy offset. Audi also makes OEM RS4 replicas that come on A4's and S4's

The offset is what makes them look amazing with the center dished in a bit more. VMR makes a good offset RS4 Rep as well, no were near as flat as OEM RS4 reps, but still not the offset of the OEM RS4 wheels.

Looks even better in person. Too bad he got rid of it and now has an S5.

Fairly similar actually. It would come down to how much everything would cost and oem vs aftermarket (or reps)

I am by no means an expert in fitment, especially on B7s but my concern is the tire size. Would those wheels from the B8 come with the 255 tires you mentioned? Those tires on those wheels might or might not work depending on spacer size and how low you are.

    Here we go.......
There is no B8 RS4 (not yet), or RS4 wheels from a B7 A4 or some other weird name combinations people come up with.

RS4 wheels are exclusively 19x9" et 29 and they came on, well, an RS4. They are more concave and wider then the reps, and OEM wheels styled after those that you see out there.

It seems as if Audi realized it's a popular style and they created similar styled wheels and threw them on B7's, TT's, B8's, etc, BUT THEY ARE NOT OEM RS4 wheels. They are RS4 styled wheels yes. The ones you see on the other cars are not as wide and not as concave and are also 18's many times, meanwhile OEM are 19s.

I personally ran them as did staticuxo.
    I ran 235/35/19 tire
    He ran: 225/35/19

The only thing I did was roll the "lip" in the front fenders that holds the fender liner, and I removed the top screw. Yes I rubbed on bumps/dips and a completely full car. Static on the other hand, barely rubbed from what he told me, he had more stretch going on. If that's considered fender work, then I guess yea you need it.

Coilovers highly suggested, as it was look goofy without them.

here is a pic of mine before I got the coilovers setup to the height I wanted, I should have some other pics somewhere else with them on when the car was lowered more.

255 tire will require more work. I had a 255 tire mounted when i first bought my RS4's and I wasn't able to drop the car in the front since the fender rested on the tire -_-

Old news. I rolled my front fenders and fitted 245/30/19's all around with moderate rubbing on large dips since I hated the idea of putting a thin litte tire on a wide ass rim. Nay sayers that don't think it's doable never even tried.

Yes. the wheel comes with 255. I research about the tires whether it will fit or not but I found mix answers. I also heard that the spacer is optional. just hub centric rings to fit the center bore to 6.66. right now I'm still on stock S-line sport suspension.

Really nice pic - I hope my car looks that good when it is one or two more generations old.

At the least you will need 66.56 to 57.1 hub rings

    Coderedpl,
Thanks for the info. I see. I meant RS4 style wheels from B8.
