New led headlights B7 who got them?

partsforeuro poates some new r8 style led taillights with a light strip, led audi strip and led amber blinkers with leveling motors... i have the old style ones and the new ones look really good. if you have them post up and leave feedback

Interesting but here is one thing I do NOT understand.

This fits on with factory HALOGEN models only. It does NOT fit on with factory xenon models.

Ok so it doesn't fit on xenon..but...

Comes with Auto-Leveling Motor, so if you have auto-leveling feature from stock, you will continue to have that feature when you use this headlight

Auto-leveling only came on xenons......

if I had to choose between the ebay dectanes and these, I would choose these new ones. But I still think the best option is oem bi xenons with Flys leds

I hit the Googler and tried to find info on these Flys LEDS... I saw the pics and man are they sexy... Question now is how can I get a set? I want some..

Pm Fly300kts aka Phil and he will set you up...he makes the led strips but you need to find a set of oem xenons...

You can put them on halogens too, just a different resister setup.

if i find something below 350 ima pull the trigger and buy them if not ima wait till xmas or 2012 to make a purchase but def not for 475...i searched ebay and they hve them for 365 shipped

I am not digging the leds plus light bar setup. Just the leds would be fine, but now these lights look like s5+ the new Chrysler 300... yuck.

I'm not a big fan of these headlights period. I agree with everyone by buying the bi-xenons and getting FLY to put the strip in!

Dude I got really lucky and picked up the newer r8 style led headlights for 275 shipped. They look amazing but the issue I am having is that since they are bixenon I am getting an error message when I go to high beams because the flap that puts you into high beam mode isn't pulling enough current is my guess....need to figure out a way to correct that.

IMO I do not like the LED corner light version of these lights because I hate seeing amber plastic in headlight housing. They just don't look as clean as the non LED ones, just my opinion though.

Here are some pics of the Eagle Eyes version of the r8 light...the projector output is actually really good too with the hid kit I threw in them.

They are just cell phone pics so I don't know how great the quality is.

i guess hes got them for the low beams, now hes got the error for the high beams, something prolly to do with the fact that they are controlled a little differently or draw more current that the OE lights... IDK but they look sick

Shane is dead on...I haven't had a chance to look into it much yet but I only get an error on high beams and it is even intermittent at that.

To OP if you like the lights I got just keep a look out on ebay and you might come across a good deal like I did. Or shoot me a PM and I can give you the companies name and phone number and you can just call them and see if they will do it for the price I paid. I mean 275 for these lights was a steal IMO.

You had halogens before you put those on? If so, then that's what I've been trying to tell everyone. Halogens are not bi-xenon, therefore they dont have the wiring for the bi-xenon flaps, which is also why there is a kufatec harness with wiring that goes behind cluster FOR the high-beam flaps. The halogens ALSO do NOT come with leveling motors (in the US at least, as far as i know, correct me if im wrong) Which is more than likely why you are getting the error.

You can't make the bixenon headlights with halogen connector work as bixenons without doing some sort of extra wiring. Vag-com will not help you because you have no actual connection to the flaps, halogen connector does not provide that.

In my opinion, if you want it to work, you would need to figure out how to make the kufatec harness work or get the proper wiring done.

All of this is also why I question the plug & play factor. Parts4euro hasn't chimed in.

they dont have amber in them ,the actual bulbs blink in amber ,and the ones shown before i really dont get why they left a space with no bulb

So this is a fortuitous thread for me cause I just got the right dipped headlight problem last night.

Gonna try to replace the bulb. I am not sure if I have halogen or bixenon tho, is there an easy way to tell? My plan was to just remove the bulb and look at the part number and order another.

bixenon is a projector, halogen is standard bulb.

No. Both have bulbs but they're different type of bulbs.
Halogens have reflectors while bixenons have the projector.

To answer your other post. This thread is not for those who have oem bixenon or oem halogens but its talking about an aftermarket alternative.
