    Ride Quality... 235/35/19

Hey guys, this is my first post, ive been reading and learning for a while due to my recent purchase of a 2005 b7 a4 2.0t

My question is about ride quality.

With the Stock 17" alloy wheels i had a nice set of 235/45/17's It rode nice. I am coming from an Acura TL 3.2. I felt like the 3.2 was a much nicer ride. But that thing couldn't turn to save its life..

Anyways today i bought a set of 19" VMR V710's for the car and they came wrapped in 235/35/19 Bridgestone Potenza's. Around town the ride is about the same but on the free way it its very rough. potholes and changes in the asphalt are much more violent.

I realize this is a pretty low profile tire so it makes sense. there is a pretty big gap now so i have room for more tire. I dont want to lower the car.

Please let me know what you guys recommend. I would like to bring the ride quality back if possible with these 19's. I would like a tire that does well on street and in snow. (I want my cake and to eat it too).

    Thanks

245/35/19 is the tire size that we recommend for your 19x8.5 ET35 V710's (assuming the suggested fitment is what you ordered). The fact that the tires are a little narrower than what we recommend may definitely be affecting your ride quality, as 245 is ideal. If you're looking for a tire that's good during all seasons, I would suggest the Continental ExtremeContact DWS.

Putting a slightly taller tire won't make up enough sidewall to make the ride much different than it is now....any tire in the recommended size is going to have to have a "reinforced" sidewall, so there won't be much of a change going from one brand to another. With a 19" wheel on your car, you just can't expect the same ride comfort as the 17"'s

Haha there is the spirit... I had the same dilemma when I went from stock to 235/35/19.. It really grew on me though, now I actually enjoy it. I also removed the steering assist realy for a tighter feel, can't remember the number though. Servotronic relay I believe?
