Amber Turn Signal on LED C6 A6

So I have a question....Has anyone had any expereince in coding C6 A6 rear LEDs to flash an amber turn signal seperate from the LED Lights?
Currently, the light (Picture attached) is a combined LED Tail, Brake, turn signal. However, there is a single red bulb (non LED) in the tail light housing that works as a Hazard Flasher and only when the Rear LED Fogs are on. It does not flash as a hazard when the LED fogs are off.



I would love to see if I can get this light coded to use as a turn signal and use the LEDs for only tail and brake. Can anyone help?

Have you visited the B8/A4 Forum? This has been all over that site and I did my tails to behave 100% like ROW with amber signal. I'm not sure about the A6 though. Your best bet is to contact DavidB8 on here or go to his site: http://www.audienthusiasts.com/

All right, my local guy and I were able to get the single bulb to work as a turn signal and leave the LEDs as brake and tails only. Now I just need to get the amber bulb and I will be all set. Thanks to DavidB8 for waiting in the wings to assist if we ran into snags. A+

Have you tinted your tails yet? I want pics or video of your tail mod now. I'm thinking about getting the A6 and want the tails like you did.

Local guy as in a tech who works on euro cars and apparently can code. Took some trial and error, but he got it in about an hour. Also added LED Licence plate lights. I have not yet tinted the tails but will do so in the very near future. I will post video of the new configuration for your review.

That is so fregin cool! Just like mine, but an A4. So, on the A6 did the whole entire side (panel & trunk) lights blink as the turn signal? So you had ZERO brake lights on the side that was blinking?

Last question, what amber bulbs are you using? And was there a red lens inside the housing where this amber bulb went? I had to phsyically remove a stupid red lens that was in front of where the amber bulb goes.

Can't work on a car without having a beer. Lol. I honestly didn't even realize the conversation going on in the background. The A6 LEDs (panel and trunk) served as running light, brake light and blinker so theere was no brake light when the blinker was flashing. Now the amber is the blinker and the LEDs remain lit as running and brake only.
The amber bulb is a standard 7507 Sylvania. The lens is clear so the bulb that was in there was actually red. I did not have to remove anything.

Very nice. Yours was a little easier just replacing the reb bulb with amber. Hey, I'm really thinking about trading for a A6 (2009-2011) in the next 6 months and this is one of the 1st mods I want to do. PM me or reply here and let me know if you're willing to code my lights? DavidB8 did mine remotely from Canada to Omaha using TeamView software. We could do the same thing and I'm willing to pay!

Welcome to the amber club. I had this procedure done to my 2011 A6 in April. Simple coding change, but could not find an amber bulb with the correct offset. I ended up filing off one of the tabs of an amber bulb I found at an auto parts store. I will look for the 7507 Sylvania. The amber lights make such a difference. I just got the Stasis ECU upgrade done at Stevens Creek Audi, and what a difference. Where did you get the license plate LEDs?

was curious if you could help me with a coding issue for my LED tails. I have an 08 S6 that I recently converted over to the EURO spec LED tails (OEM special order purchase from ECS tuning.) They are complete with the amber bulb, however due to the fact the VAG coding is still set to the North American tails, they do not work when just plugged. I realize I need to recode with my VAG COM and have follow directions I have found from several Audi sites. I have attempted to go into the comfort setting settings on my VAG COM and add the appropriate value for LED tails in the code setting to my existing value:

Existing value is 4618269
plus LED Tail setting 0131072
New Value = 4749341

When I click on "do it" I receive the message "error 31 request out of range" Could this be a coding issue due to having my headlights set to ROW (rest of world)? Or is there perhaps another value I need to add instead? Appreciate any insight you or anyone on the forum could provide.

Sorry for the delayed response. My mechanic was the one who did the coding for the amber turn signal. I called him today to see if he remembered how he coded it and he could not recall the exact combination. I suggest reaching out to Audizine member DavidB8. He has done a lot of coding in VAGCOM and would be the best resource.
