Audi center caps for aftermarket wheels

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
So I see lots of people running non-factory wheels (rimz, whatever you want to call them) with Audi center caps. Is there a resource to get OEM (or OEM-looking) caps that will fit these non-standard size bores? I have some new wheels with a 62.75mm opening (about 2.5") and I'd love to find some Audi caps to run on them.

I looked and didn't see anything that size. They were all too small.

    Thanks for the support!

Most of the OEM center caps that don't cover the lug bolts are 57mm. They are usually the size of the hub bore which is either 57 or 66. Aftermarket might be different though.

ECS was the first place I checked. Thanks for the clarification Jason!

I'll try one of these from CenterCaps.net. Thanks for the link.

Has anybody ever had custom center caps made?

    Yep

Any place that custom cuts vinyl and the like can do it. It's cheap and looks great if you ask me. I know others won't be fond of it, but I love it. GrafX in linden, Nj did mine.

I also got vinyl stickers made at a sign shop. They've held up great for 6+ years.

That's a pretty sweet idea! I bet you could also pick up some clear coat at your local auto parts store and hit them with a few coats for longer durability

I ended up trying one of these:

    (thanks seph)

I had to adjust the retaining clips a bit, but the fit is perfect. They are also metal, so will be powdercoated along with the wheels. I may do the rings in another color. Thoughts on this?

Here's one (dirty) wheel with the Audi cap in place. Not the best photo but you get the idea:

I have the 17" sport wheels and was going to take apart the center cap rings to color them red. I think it's a good idea and a nice finishing touch after they whole wheel gets powdercoated.

I had similar thoughts (like color keying the rings to match my paint). Some contrast is definitely called for I think...
