Attn: A7 Owners....why did you choose the A7 over the A8??

Just wondering if you guys were set on the A7, or did you even consider the A8 at all? I love both cars, not quite sure which one I would prefer though

The A8 is just too "grown up." There's so much going on w/ it... And the price - $75 v. $100K! The A7 also looks much sportier IMHO.

When the restyled A8 came out last fall I shopped them and test drove one. I really liked it a lot and was very close to buying one then. But I decided to wait until the A7 was released and I'm really glad I did. I do a lot of biking and was driving an A6 Avant at the time. I was looking for the ability to lay one or two bikes down in the back like I could with the Avant. Not gonna happen with the A8, even with the wheels off the bikes, but a breeze in the A7 with the wheels left on. I liked the exterior and interior styling in both and it was really a close call for me, but the combination of trunk/hatch space and price difference brought me to the A7. I also think the A7 exterior styling is a little more edgy and fresher. The A8 is a remarkable car, but I've been very happy with my choice of the A7.

The A8 just looks too boring and big. A7 (with S-Line) looks a lot more edgy and sporty.

i love reading post like these...i learn alot from them ... idk .. maybe im weird...

not to hijack this thread but let me twist it u a bit

    anyone cross shop new a6 n a7?

i plan on keeping my c6 forever
but most likely will be in the market for another car(most likely AUDI) in 3 to 4 years
i always assumed i would roll into a c7 but when i see an a7 ...it makes me wonder
i love how a7 sits low n wide stance but on somedays the rear doesnt agree with me
i like the new c6 but somedays its stance seems weaker n im not used to all the edginess upfront just yet
