Does the sound fade away as the interior light dims? Could be a power regulator for some interior lighting.
Other than that, there are quite a few electronic modules which go through various shutdown sequences after you turn off the ignition, and they could emit audible whines. Although we tend to think of solid-state electronics as operating silently, there are many types of components, especially switch-mode power controllers, which are quite audible.
Bottom line: No warning messages, no worries.

I think I know what you're talking about. It's coming from the headlights.

Yes, that's exactly the sound that a power controller makes. Can't tell you which one, though, since there are quite a few in the car.

My TT makes a louder sound after I park it, which sounds like a small motor running (but not a fan). Both of our Audis also have a servo motor at the back of the car, which cycles when we open the driver's door in the morning. I have no idea what that is, either. So many devices, motors and gadgets in these cars!
