2010-2011 A3 Fog Light Removal

I have searched on youtube, and the forums to see how to remove the fog lights without having to remove the front bumper. I did find one thread that shows removal of the front bumper, but that was to install the license plate delete and fog lights at the same time. I noticed on earlier models the side grille surrounding the fog light pops out and is only held in by tabs.

I guess any help would be appreciated, otherwise I will just remove the bumper to get to the fog lights unfortunately.

Bumper has to come off, only takes about 10-15 minutes to get it off.

Just and update. I was able to install both fog lights without removing the front bumper. Was not too difficult.

thats right, you just pull off the "foglight grill" and remove 2 screws to get the housing out.

Well I guess I like doing things the hard way if that's true

I actually just removed the bottom plastic under the bumper, 4 screws on each side and installed it from the bottom of the car. So I guess there are multiple ways to install them lol!

On my 2011 a3 tdi, can I just Pull Off the fog light grill from the outside of the vehicle without taking off the bumper?
