Well... Mine is a pre facelift model, but I suspect the trim will be held in place the same way. The way to remove it is as technically involved as most trim removal on VAG cars... Grab and yank on it... Carefully.

Most trim on these cars is just clipped on, but the first time you remove it it will be very tight. So just be careful not to twis it too much so it doesn't crack.

No! Do not just pull. That will not work on the 11's. You have to remove the whole bumper, as the fog assembly is attached to the bumper itself.

I don't mean the entire fog light assembly just the chrome circle/ring that surrounds it....

Checked your build thread and it looks like you fog light trim is the same as mine. Feel on the bottom side of the bottom rib, towards the center of the car, you will feel cutout. Pull firmly, from inside of the car, towards the outside. BEWARE, there is a tab on the portion of the both fog light trims on the outside edge (left side of the left fog light trim and right side of the the right fog light trim). To put the fog light trim back on, insert the tab on the outer edge first, them press firmly around the edges of the trim-there are other pieces of the trim that will snap in place.

Easy job, less than 5 seconds to remove and to install.
