    makeshift heat shield for intake

    so i installed my K&n intake a few weeks ago, and im not liking the thought of all the hot air getting sucked in.....
    anyone have a nice DIY for a makeshift heatshield so i am just taking in cold air?

    i tried searching for it, couldnt find what i wanted.

    cut some card board to fit and make the shape you want for your intake then take it to a fabrication shop and ask them to make it for you.

    Go fancy, make 2 heat shields out of aluminum and mount them together with a small air gap in the middle, then paint the hot side with some heat reflective paint or something to that extent.

    Oooor pickup some cheap mild steel and hack it up and screw it into place

    Draw a picture somehow? Also can you make an entire cold air intake like this?

    Something along the lines of BigBoost's spark plug wire shield... just on a larger scale

    Idk, but this thread gave me an idea. I think when i get a cone filter i will make a cold air intake shroud to house it and make it a true cold air intake.
