Is it easy to add (S4) Memory seating to an A4?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Will the memory seating only work with Recaro seats or with all standard leather A4 seats? Has anyone tried and completed this successfully? Any VAG-ing needed?

If I wanted to do this, would I just need the driver's side, front door card which has the memory seat buttons?

Wait-- you have power seats but no memory seats? I didn't think that was possible on the drivers seat.
I will guess that you'd need the memory seat buttons assy (dont need the whole door card) at the door panel, and the module (sitzmemory relay), and the intact wire harness specific to the memory seats from the door to relay to seats. I'm not sure the wiring to the seat itself would be any different...but maybe. You could probably source it from a 3.0/B6 too...can't be much different.

Memory seats came with the convenience package. I know without it there is a power driver manual passenger.

Ya, my 2007 2.0T came with powered driver and passenger seats, but no memory seating for the driver's seat like my b6 s4 did. I was wondering if I could retrofit memory seating buttons on my current A4 seats or if I picked up a set of Recaros- if I could get the memory seating module to work.

Not true. My A4 didn't have memory seats but had both power driver and power passenger.

Correct me if I am wrong but I believe memory seat was only available on the 2.0t for 2005.5 and 2006. Than only on the 3.2 and S4.

My 2006 has memory seats and both front are powerred 8ways.

This is true. My 2006 had them, my 2008 does not. It does however have both power seats. I wish this was an easier retrofit, as it was a very convenient thing to have

I think this is correct. I have a 2007 3.2 with conviencence package and memory seats. None of the other A4s we looked at had them regardless of packages (all 2.0s). I messed with the unit for about an hour when I got the car and couldn't get it to work at all. It was stuck on the same position even after doing all the said resets. No big deal because the only other person driving my car is my dad and hes about the same size. Although, I don't know why Audi thought there needed to be 4 positions in the memory seats....Never heard of that many different people driving the same car on a regular basis lol

For my 2006 they were part of the Technology Package (looking at the window sticker as we speak). I'm going to guess it was the same for 2005.5.

Again, if it wasn't a 2005.5 or 2006, then it wasn't an option for the 2.0t's
