I believe I have some sort of boost leak and I wanted to get a feel for what a boost/ vacuum leak test should cost me? Thanks in advance

i paid a 1/2 hour of labor for my boost leak test (which included a smoke test which lets you know exactly where the leak is coming from and how much is leaking)

so around 45-50$ very worth it imo

Here is what I bought, it was all for 2" though.

BUT you could probably get away with a 2" pvc cap and then drill the small hole, screw the air hose tap into that. The clamp you need is a 2.75"

Assuming you have an air compressor

Is 2" big enough? Isn't the inlet pipe on the maf side 3"? I want to make sure, cuz I want to make one tonight.

That's what I went with. I've used it a couple times and as long as you're less than 20psi running through it, you're fine. :) just take off the hose to the air box and use the same clamp and it'll hold.

Ideally you want 2.5" but you won't find it, so I bought 2" thinking it would work and it does. i'll post a pic of it later when I get home (In about 2 1/2 hours)

Thanks for the link but what size do you think is best for my (engine wise) stock 2T?

Isn't the one on A4 mods for something else tho? Those seem to connect to the turbo...not the airbox.

Cool, thanks. Do you even need the elbow? Looks like it'll work without it.

Your question doesn't really make sense. if you are talking about the piping, then read one post above yours.

I bought it then cut the elbow off to give the pvc a bit wider spot to stick in the hose. i'll show you what I mean later. :)

Oh, ok, I get it. Cuz the female end on the elbow has wider hips!

I built the one off a4mods.com and use 2" just like they listed. I had no troubles inserting it in to the tube going to the turbo and using the factory clamp. It all sealed up just fine and I used my air compressor to test for leaks.
