    s-line vs non s-line

I am looking at 2007 and 2008 A3s. I am trying to understand the difference between the versions with S-Line and the versions without.

Some dealers are telling me that their vehicles are S-Lines when they don't have any badges. Is this correct? Could one get an S-Line in the 2007 or 2008 without getting the badging?

I would love to find a pic of an A3 with the s-line and one without just to see what is actually different.

    Cheers

there are kind of built in 'bumper strips', but since they are actually part of the bumper and painted the same color, they do little to protect
I personally prefer the non s-line on the pre facelift (I can't tell on the face lifted ones) because the little strips are carried around the car, rather than just having door moldings (sp?) and nothing to carry the line in the front or back

But that's just me. A lot of people like the more seamless bumpers

the non-sline has bumper strips on the front and rear bumper
the non-sline has fog light grills that smiles upward. the sline has ones that's seem to droop downard.
the non-sline has lower rear bumper that is the same color as the bumper. the sline has a lower bumper insert that is matt black.

The car is not a sline.

I love bringing out old pics =)

    08.5 S-line and 07 Premium

Im not sure the S-Line bumpers are "better" looking - it is subjective. The S Line bumper's lower flat spoiler accentuates the front overhang and the height moreso than the Premium does, it's a visual thing it seems.

Thats a Non S-Line. A Premium it seems since it does have fog lamps.. Did it come with driverside power seats?

Yes, it has driver side power seats as well as full leather interior and the cold weather package (for us Canadians :) ).

I am thinking I will pick it up and install a trim kit, some wheels, and tint the windows. Might paint the chrome grill surround black as well.

I wish I could pick up a brand new A3, but alas this will have to do!
