Question - Modded A4 vs G37

What would you need to do to an A4 to beat a G37 straight up, I have apr stg II+ , that a give a stock g37 a good run for its money you think?

at least a KOR a g37 only puts down 337 crank horsepower from a V6 and only 270ft/lbs of torque, id say that if you ran across an awd g37 that it would be a pretty even match up stage 2+ but a rwd would beat your stage 2+ car

i think that if you had 270awhp (attainable via KOR) that it would be a pretty decent matchup, definetly a lot closer then the guy driving the infiniti would like

I'm thinking of doing an intercooler and S3 injectors, I believe unitronic does a tune with injectors and no turbo upgrade.... supposed to be like 300hp ish? Correct me if I'm wrong.


As far as the gsxr, the last thing I'm worried about on that thing is a g37 lol

if your running a STG2+ You can beat g37 from a stop. should have em untill @ least 80mph.

A stage 2+ should be able to beat a stock G37 to about 60, for quarter mile run you need to be stage 3.

seriously doubt that... I beat a g37 from a 10-70 by a car and a half and i'm at stage 3... stage 2+ will have NO chance.

I guess its depends on how well the g37 driver can launch the car, as it is always easier to get a good launch in a quattro/awd.

I checked into this. These are correct stats, which is just amazing. I can totally see a A4Q at a 3550 curb weight, but I though the G was way off. However, its not.... holy cow its a piggy. The G37 coupe weighs in at 3600 (3500 for the G35), which is well in line for todays standard. Its crazy to think that the convertible adds 500 pounds to the TOP of the car!

Either way, your getting smoked. You drive Audi's economy car, get used to it.

From a 2nd gear roll at like 35mph till 100 you should be able to pull half a car. I have a friend who has a MK5 gti apr stage 2 who walks on stock 335i, g37S, g35S, e46 M3. These were all from 2nd gear 35mph roll till about 115. Yes I know the gtis weigh a few hundred lbs less then us but I think its safe to say you might have a chance at stage 2+

yes im 100% sure. he raced my cousins 335i sedan stock i was in the car the gti was just under half a car a head till like 115-120ish then the bimmer started to gain and by 130 dead even then they both let off. ill try to look for the video in my old phone

I stayed dead even with one just a few days ago from 20-60, heat soaked like a mother ******. If I had an fmic, I think I would pull on one. I love living at high elevation. NA cars don't have shit up here. It is possible with stage 2, just move to 6k ft elevation.

You are manual and FWD or quattro? I am quattro and tip, so I'm guessing my curb weight without me in it is around 3700-3800. My DTM bumper seems a lot heaver than my non s-line, even without fogs and a lighter rs4 ebay grill. I'm sure it doesn't help understeer....I digress...

Same here quattro and tip, not the best when it comes to handling. For some reason, my Sline bumper is also heavier than the non Sline bumper (yes I have both). At least our engine is lighter than the one in the S4.

Edit, and I've beaten a stage 2 gti.

I'm also going to have to call BS on that. My older brother has a bone stock 335i and I tried racing him 0-60, with a rolling start, on the highway and every which way and it wasn't even close. He beat me every time. 335's are freakin quick! Also my younger brother has an MKV Jetta GLI APR Stage 1 and after I went stage 2 I raced an beat him several times so I doubt a GTI Stage 2 would be too much different.

You guys can don't have to believe me I know what I saw. We underestimate our cars a little to much. 335i are fast as hell once modded. And off the line there fast as hell to. But from a roll its anyones game you just have to get the perfect start and perfect shift's and you can beat them STOCK.


MCT9891- if you got beat by a 335i and your at stage 3 then I really think something is wrong when you have 350-400hp/tq 335i's have like 278ish WHP and like 290WTQ. So maybe the 335i u raced and lost to was modded.

I think Audi should have made a version of the a4 that slots between the a and s4 like BMW did with the 335is. something like a 280 horse TTS engine s4 suspension and brakes 6 speed or S tronic something like that.
