USA B7 RS4 Production Numbers

Hey all,

I recently bought a used 2008 RS4 in Avus Silver, and thought I should contact Audi to determine the B7 RS4's production numbers. Not sure if this exists anywhere on this site, but I couldn't find it anywhere when I looked.

I asked for Total, EU, and USA production numbers, broken down by year, but they were only able to give me USA. I also asked about how many of them were in Avus Silver (my color).

So, here goes:
2007 - 663 Total (97 in Avus Silver)
2008 - 651 Total (89 in Avus Silver)

Hope someone else finds this interesting.

I used the standard contact us form on their website. Took about a week for them to get back to me.

Any idea how this list was compiled? The numbers don't entirely match up with what I was given.

Audi's number: 186 Avus Silver RS4s in 2007/2008
That Site: 292 Avus Silver RS4s

I thought maybe the Cabs where not included in my numbers, but I only visually counted 20 Avus Silver cabs in that list, which leaves 96 unaccounted for.

I believe those VIN numbers were supplied directly from Audi from somebody who works there.

That's correct - the majority of that list was provided by a contact at Audi, and I've been adding more information as owners sent it to me. I haven't updated it for a few months, so that's not completely up to date.

Both Papayas are in NYC area, they frequent/post on QW.

FWIW, as of today there are 99 RS4s registered in the state of Massachusetts. Given the small size of our state, that's quite a few. I can also say that I spot them on a fairly regular basis the past 2 months. Bunch of'em in metro Boston area.

I don't think those numbers are correct as I was under the impression that it's somewhere in the neighborhood of 2,500 RS4's in the US for 2008 alone or maybe for both years. Someone may be able to clarify.

I contacted Audi, my rs4 cab in a special order color is 1 of 4 built in that combo.

One car was bought back by Audi and ended up in Canada.

So apparently, I am one of 3 now, which is kind of cool.

I see that 800323 Phantom Black Cabriolet isn't on the list....It is now in California from Ohio through Pennsylvania and originally lic in New York...it would be in my bed if I could snuggle up to it at night...

I Own 7N900005 ... the Audi Corporate Car, it is in New Jersey.

I also have been trying to find out more information about this car possibly being one of the first sold in the US (this crossed my mind when I first saw your registry a long time ago, and my vin was listed 1st). So AoA, after about a week of back and forth phone calls basically told me that is information they do not know. I basically refuse to believe that they do not know. So I am in the process of using the dealer I bought the car through to get in touch with the original Audi Corporate owner and see if he can shed some light on the situation.

But thank you stahmann for even putting this together because the list is what first sparked this thought in my head. I know its a long shot, but what a great piece of information if its true. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

This list is great! It helped me in my car search for my RS4. All 3 of the cars I was looking at were here so the list allowed me to review their options even before talking to the dealers. The car I decided on is listed here, Sprint Blue Pearl 7N902003 and will be in Tampa, FL as of 11/4 when it is delivered to me. Thanks!
